Experience description:
It was my first ever visit to spiritualist church, I had lost
my 5 year old son to cancer 4 years earlier and for some reason that day I felt
a pull to go. I walked through the doors and it was full of ladies over the age
of 60, they spoke to me and asked why I had come, I told them I had felt a pull
and so I came. We were asked to sit down in a circle and one of the ladies asked
us to close our eyes. I closed mine and sat there feeling very uncomfortable and
awkward, the lady started to talk about walking down a path, over a bridge and
into a balloon. I felt a sensation on the top of my head, like an intense
tingling that started to burn, it really got my attention as I'd never
experienced it before and then I got a feeling like I was separate to myself but
inside my body, next from my pelvis area I felt myself rising up and my head
started to burn and as i got up into my head, I opened my eyes and came back
down into my body. I was gasping for breath because of the experience and the
lady who was talking looked at me, asked if I was ok and told me to close my
eyes. I did, and instantly the burning started on the top of my head, i felt
myself detached from my body and start to rise. As I lifted up to my head I
remember thinking 'just allow it'. I left my body and entered a tunnel, it was
white and foggy, at the end of it I could see a keyhole shape. I moved towards
it and as I did I could see a figure in the keyhole, I couldn't see what it was
BUT I had an all knowing that it was my son, I could feel it - like an
overwhelming energy of his. I started to move closer and faster and then
something spoke to me - 'If you go any closer, you'll never go back'. I didn't
care, I felt immense love and happiness and knew my son was waiting for me. No
thoughts going back to my body for my other children or husband entered me, I
was in a state of peace and wanted to get to the keyhole. I as rushed forward,
something pulled me back with great force and I entered my body - and opened my
eyes. My whole life changed after that day. The way I thought,
how I connected with people, how I saw the world, how I could feel everything,
how I saw the truth in everything and everyone. It was like I opened my eyes and
i was awake.

What emotions did you
feel during the experience?
At first fear as I started to rise up out of my body, once
in the tunnel - Happiness, peace, joy

through a tunnel? Yes I
left my body and entered a tunnel, it was white and foggy, at the end of it I
could see a keyhole shape. I moved towards it and as I did I could see a figure
in the keyhole, I couldn't see what it was BUT I had an all knowing that it was

I encountered a definite
being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
Something spoke to me - 'If you go any closer, you'll never go back'. It felt
like God, it felt like a male. It wasn't as we speak, it was the words coming
through me, feeling like God and male.
Did you encounter or
become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by
name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?
No
Did you encounter or
become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?
Yes My son Tom - I saw a figure in a
key hole, I had an all knowing that it was him, i could feel his energy.
Did you become aware of
past events in your life during your experience?
No
Did you seem to enter
some other, unearthly world?
Some unfamiliar and strange place
A tunnel - white and foggy. It felt like an
inbetween place - a gateway to somewhere else.
Did time seem to speed up or slow down?
Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped
or lost all meaning
Time didn't exist. All
that existed was what was happening.
Did you suddenly seem
to understand everything?
No

boundary or limiting physical structure?
Yes
I couldn't go any further, i was pulled back

border or point of no return?
I came to a barrier that I was not
permitted to cross; or was sent back against my will

either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after
death”)? Yes I just
knew that there was another place to move onto from that tunnel. That my son was
there.

Yes The voice that spoke to me - I felt was God

Yes That there is another place past that tunnel, that this
isn't all that there is.

your experience included:
Content that was entirely not consistent with the beliefs
you had at the time of your experience I wasn't a person who believed you could
leave your body, I didn't believe in God.

remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around
the time of the experience?
I remember the experience more accurately than other life
events that occurred around the time of th I cannot remember much from around
that time, I remember this as it was totally against my norm.

It totally changed me as a woman.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that
occurred as a result of the experience?
Yes Everything changed for me - every part of me
transformed. I almost became a totally different woman

psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did
not have before the experience?
Yes Since the experience, the same voice has spoken to me
twice - once when I had a breakdown, it told me to get up and empower women. The
second was when I was rushed to hospital with a suspected stroke - it said 'I
will keep putting you on your ass until you listen to me'. I have messages come
to me in dreams - a number of these have come true. At times I have experienced
the rising out of my body. I have ultra awareness and know what to do or what is
coming next.
Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful
or significant to you?
Knowing my son is in the other place. Knowing that there is a God. Knowing it
happened to me because I have a great purpose to fulfil.

What did you believe
about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:
Experience was
definitely real I believed it was real because I felt it all. The week after it
happened, I was sat in my kitchen and i started to rise out of my body again.
What do you believe
about the reality of your experience at the current time:
Experience was definitely real Was
real, too many things have happened after - it was my awakening.
Have your relationships
changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes Yes - I no longer feel connected
to people who are living the ordinary life. I find it hard to be around friends
and family members who seem asleep.
Have your religious
beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?
Yes I live a spiritual
life now - I allow myself things I believe to be light/good. When I don't I
experience challenges from the divine.
At any time in your
life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?
Yes When I am not living my purpose
(choosing for myself instead of what i've been created for) I experience the
same lifting out of my body and become ill. If I'm not allowing myself
good/light things - I experience the same lifting and will become ill.

No ... all is good :)

Share the stories with the world - I have been scared to talk about this and thought I was all alone. Sharing on a greater level allows the other people to come forward.
