Experience description:

This was an interesting experience, and I will try my hardest to articulate what I had felt. I was busy during the summer, and my friend told me he wanted to visit soon, but insisted he didn't due to the fact he had influenza. I agreed, and we waited until he felt better. Unfortunately, even though he felt better, he was still contagious when he finally visited. Several days after he left, I started to feel very lousy. Fatigue, lack of appetite, body aches and chills. I suspected influenza contraction from him immediately. I wasn't mad, as I knew it would pass. After all, I have a pretty good immune system. During that time, I did register a mild fever. If my memory is correct, I did take an aspirin to help drop the fever. One night during my illness, I went to bed. Being sick did make me a bit sleepless even with the lethargy. I'm not sure if my fever climbed in the middle of the night, but I felt a sense of health and peace. I remember being beside myself and even though my room was dark, it was being lit up by two beings. I believe they were angels. One male, named Christian, to my left. On my right, a being named Emily. I don't remember much on how 'Christian' looked, except for the fact they both wore white tops, like you would see on a cotton commercial. I was especially attracted to 'Emily', as she had gorgeous long black hair and wore a white camisole. They both wore blue denim jeans. And also to mention, they had wings, but they were not oversized or tiny. In fact, they were as wide as they were tall. But, they seemed etheric, while they themselves seemed solid. They also had this beautiful blue aura that wasn't too bright, but beautiful enough to look at. They seemed to dimly illuminate my bedroom. I also heard this heavenly music also, like a frequency for healing. It was incredible how much love came from them. I could feel this love, and it was healing my body I suppose. The main emotion they gave off was concern, like a child caring for a sick pet wondering what to do and praying. This feeling makes me tear just thinking about it. It was lovely. Soon after, I must have gone back into my body, as I could feel them around me and I guess they left after that. The next day, I started to feel better. Looking back, it might have been a high fever that triggered this experience. When I was little, I had a febrile seizure and a 105 degree Fahrenheit that caused me to go to hospital. Maybe its connected? But who knows. This experience, which felt real was like a dream that is almost hard to put into words. I know now that angelic beings are probably like you and I, and don't wear robes and have gigantic wings and shining auras like on TV. Maybe, they are like you and me and like. Who knows?

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   No 

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      When my body was sleeping, when I must have exited and was beside it. I suppose it was when my fever got worse that is when I went out.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      Normal consciousness and alertness   I didn't necessarily feel any more aware than usual, but I did feel alot of peace. It was like watching a movie of myself.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   In my dark room I could see their figures clearly even though they were dimly illuminated.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   Probably more sensitive, the music was divine and pleasant, but not harmful to the ears or too loud.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No  

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Peace, I was free from being inside a body dealing with a severe influenza infection. I felt love pour out from these beings, and it felt incredible.  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   The auras from the beings, the blue light coming from them.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
I encountered two beings, which I think were angels. Both male and female.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No  

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   No  

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No  

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   No


Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning
During this time, time itself was not necessary. I felt everything happening at once. I felt the love, heard the music, saw the angels. But yet, I don't think time 'passed'.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   No

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   No

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Uncertain   I believe the angels I saw were proof enough to me that something else lies beyond this world.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   Uncertain   The only information I felt I received were the names, they seemed to come to me telepathically.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s meaning or purpose?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   Uncertain   During my experience, I learned that love is something we all need to share with one another, and that love is healing just like medicine.

During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   No  

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   No  

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   What felt consistent with my experience was that love is what brings us together, makes us happy, and it is a universal energy we need to get AND receive. But, at the time I didn't believe in angels like they comedically portray them on TV, but I did believe in the beings that most worlds scriptures mention. However, this was up to interpretation I had not previously considered.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the ex   I feel I won't forget this experience because it had such a profound effect on me spiritually.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   No  

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Yes   I have always had spiritual premonitions Or gut feelings before this, and I do after this as well.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     The way I felt peace, the love and concern from the angels. It makes me feel someone or something cares about me, but I'm still unsure exactly who or what that is.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  Confused, but they were interested. Some found it funny, while others found it special and meaningful. Even today, it's odd thinking about it but I am glad whatever occurred actually did.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   Yes   I've known about NDE stories from a long time ago when I would watch TV interviews from talk shows or from people I knew would tell me. My cousin told me when I was a child about how her uncle was dying and saw Jesus and a white light.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was probably real   I knew something happened, but my rational mind tried to play it off as a dream but in my heart I knew something spiritual had occured which couldn't be explained by science.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   I think it was some higher power allowing me to see that I was loved and cared for, and that I should do the same. I believe the angels were sent from the creator to help me heal.

It would be magical if more stories were in the grand mind of our world. I think the world would be a more beautiful place!What could a national organization with an interest in near death experience (NDE) do that would be of interest to you?  This was fine, I liked it.
