Experience description:

I really am not even sure where to start but there's a whole other place or world outside of earth. I can't remember if this is the first or the second time I have overdosed.  But it is the second time I have been to this place regardless if it was a dream foreseeing the future years ago to eventually getting to the day I actually did overdose or what actually happened but I know once is an accident and twice is a coincidence. I think the first time I visited this place was years ago in a dream, it was the dream foreseeing the future to the day I actually would visit the place in real life or not actually real life because I overdosed and was dying or fixing to leave this world. This place that I visited twice, once in a dream and once in real life a couple of days ago; is endless with no walls, its grey kind of black with a couple of rainbow lights kind of like being at a rave. It's like in your mind you are sleeping but your mind/body realizes what is going on and you take a huge breath like a gasp and you realize what is going on; you hear someone or something say 'Your deaddddddddddddddddd' and your mind is like 'No? I'm Dead?' 'Your mind/body is sad, you are shocked and trying to figure out what happened but it is too late. It is like your mind is faster than your actual body. Your body has to take the time to catch up with your mind. Once your mind realizes you are dead or almost dead then you see your body kind of crumple up like pudding and you start to think about everything you love or loved on earth. I saw my mom and my dad's face. They were sad they were crying. I could feel them as if they were right next to me. It is like your mind/body is no more and only your heart/soul is left. You take the five most things that mean the most to you on this earth with you, basically your heart/soul and my five things were my mom/dad, my family/friends, my work, fantasy football, and a video game I have been playing since I was 12 years old called Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Once you have your five things you are no longer in your body or in your mind or even your heart; it is all about your soul and you are in this grayish-black area floating in the air that goes on and on and on like forever it is endless; there's no pain, there's no feeling, there no suffering, there's no thoughts, there's nothing and one else around you, there's no other souls or anything you are alone and your soul is floating in air or I wouldn't call it air it kind of felt more like being in space. I started seeing a little into the future on this earth such as my parents preparing for my funeral then a little more into the future where I saw some of my friends walking around on earth at my funeral. This is as far as it went until I woke up and it was around 1:00 PM my time and on earth. I strongly believe in Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory; but after going through this and visiting this place twice, once in a dream and once in real life. I honestly think there is another place we all go before we are fully dead or if we accidentally overdose on something not meaning to die such as what I did. That is where I was; I will call it the between, I was in the Between or in limbo because it wasn't my time to go; it wasn't my time to leave this earth but I ended up getting a very strong feeling and sight to what and how close the afterlife is. One day I will revisit this place; hopefully many, many years from now or maybe I skip the Between and go straight to Heaven or Purgatory but this is my story to tell after my near death experience and I wanted to get it out of my mind so I can move on.

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   Some unfamiliar and strange place

I already did it was a grey place then turned into a black place floating spirit on the end

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s meaning or purpose?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   No

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   Yes   In my fight or flight I knew exactly what I had to do to stay alive I even told my parents to call 911 while I was laying on the couch because I didn’t know if I was going to make it if I could stay awake I remember telling my dad if you don’t call 911 I’m going to die on this couch my mom immediately went call 911 as my dad kept coming with hot wash cloths to keep me awake; my parents said the wash cloths kept coming every minute it was very hard to keep me awake

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was entirely not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   I am not sure where I was it could of been purgatory but I was alone maybe there isn’t a heaven and hell maybe we all just turn into spirits and float in the dark void forever or until it’s our time to come back to earth I’m not sure

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   I remember what happened like it was yesterday this happened almost two weeks ago

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   I couldn’t sleep for 2-3 days after the event I haven’t been scared of the dark since I was a kid but for those couple of days at night I couldn’t sleep I kept thinking I was going to go back into the void or dark space because when we close our eyes or we are sleeping in the dark that’s exactly how it felt pitch darkness can’t see a thing. I tried sleeping with a night light it didn’t work, two nights in arrow I slept on the couch in the living room because there was more light and I wasn’t in the room over it now but it was a traumatic event for me
