Experience description:

Back in 1991, I was 20 years old. At the time of my experience, I was serving in the United States Air Force. My experience happened after training in the Nevada desert in 110 degree heat. I was wearing a mop suit and gas mask and it can be a lot hotter in that suit than the outside temperature. I was fully loaded down with gear  and running through the desert.  After a long day of training, I made my way back to my dorm room; exhausted and ready for a shower. After taking a shower, I laid down in bed to relax and started to fall asleep.  I started to feel a pain in the lower part of my chest and the pain started to rapidly get worse.  The pain was so intense and unbearable that I tried to scream.  Then the pain stopped immediately and I felt like I was floating out of my body. I was floating away from my body like a balloon and had no control over it. I was fully conscious and aware. I'm not sure where I was, but I wasn't in my body or on earth. I felt more alive and more real than when I was in my physical body. My first thought was, 'Oh, no! I just died and I'm not ready to meet GOD.  Please don't let me meet GOD. I want to go back.' I felt a pull like I was being pulled back to my body. I had no control over that either. But after being pulled back, I opened my eyes and was lying back on my bed. After a few moments trying to process what had just happened to me, I decided to go to the hospital and get checked out. After extensive testing, the doctors couldn't find any heart problems.  They told me not to worry about it and that I would be all right. To this day, I have no answers to what had happened to me or what caused it but it was very real. I know what I experienced and carry it with me all these years later.
