Experience description:

I was in a great deal of pain and heard that my baby needed to be ‘turned around’. I saw a doctor take my hand and then I was suddenly floating on the ceiling looking down at my body and the silver of the surgical lights. There was no longer any pain. I saw the doctors around my body below and the same doctor still holding my hand.  I was aware that he was new and frightened by this experience.  I flipped back into my body once the baby was turned.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      While floating out of body

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   i was dully aware of the room and inwardly focused on my pain before the out of body experience. I had no anesthesia throughout.

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   Yes   During a recorded visualization I was drawn into space toward an oval form sparkling like diamonds. Merging with this form I had a sense of indescribable love, complete knowledge and incredible joy.  (The recorded visualization subject matter of a woodland walk was unrelated to the experience I had.)
