Experience description:

A friend and myself travelled to a small mining town in South Africa to wish my uncle safe passage home as he was in the process of passing over. This little town was cold and 'soul less' as my friend and myself were discussing the place.

At 04h00 I woke up and smelt what I thought was dog poo. We could not find any. Shortly afterwards my friend received a whatsapp from her husband, inquiring if we were OK, which seemed strange, she mentioned the reason we were up and he responded by saying that he also woke up smelling dog poo - he was approximately 600km away.

We were sitting outside and it was bitterly cold, as were were having a cigarette. I got a strong sense that something beneath the earth was not right and I shared this with my friend. We got back into bed and I started googling if there was perhaps a mining accident that happened or an accident, anything that could explain why I sensed such a deep trauma beneath the earth - nothing.

Switched off the light and decided to go to sleep the something happened, my eyes were closed but it felt like a light switch went off and it was instantly darker (this had happened before but every time I would sit up in bed and almost break the 'spell' for lack of better words). This time I was too tired to bother to sit up.

The next minute, I was underground and there were rows and rows of what looked like terracotta children, old women and one male face looking at me. I sensed their fear and that they were trapped. During this time, I was fully aware of my body in bed, I was fully aware of my racing heart beat.

The next minute the faces were squashed, I started moving away, there was a door way. As I walked out, I became aware of a 'little one' that followed me out. There was also a white wolf standing outside the door way. As I looked around the outside surroundings almost flipped and became a magnificent garden.

The next morning, I discussed this with my family, who told me the following story. That particular town was a concentration camp during the Anglo Boer War. I was never particularly interested in researching the Anglo Boer War. What I didn't know was that towards the end of this war, sick women, children and men were dumped into mass graves.

After this incident a number of others have followed of which one created/ caused / possibly highlighted an old injury.
