Experience description:

Oh my, where to start. Readers need a little backstory, so here it goes. I've always been spiritual, raised Catholic by atheist parents, and followed my own metaphysical path for many years. I was also the fan of a famous American rock band since I was 15, and I'm now 60. The two areas, spirituality and music never intersected until I was 38 years old, and asked the Universe why not only I, but so many other fans were still so obsessed with the band I followed and other bands. Like, what the hell is wrong with us? And we heard, 'Group Soul Reincarnation,' and knew we wrote a book about it that had a significant impact on the people of my generation. Along with that, we felt as if we were zapped by 100,000 watts of power, and were left in a state of bliss for months. This bliss would ultimately turn to mania and depression, but I did go on a journey of self-discovery with the band, unearthed my repressed emotions by going to concerts, and healed a part of myself from 7th grade that was tormented and teased by kids because I was so tall and awkward.

In a nutshell, I was guided to write about the healing power of sound and music. Along with that, I conjectured that a huge number of souls, musicians and fans, planned for rock and roll to be an experiment for men to get in touch with their feminine side by singing about love, but making it acceptable   with loud electric guitars and drums. Rock 'n' Roll would help men in particular heal from the trauma of war, as many rock musicians were born during or shortly after WWII. The words, GROUP SOUL REINCARNATION led me to read books about group reincarnation, and the same theme appeared over and over...it's all about healing. So, the Universe guided us to concerts where fans and band triggered our repressed emotions in order for them to come to the surface and heal.

I did write and publish a book called, 'I Found All the Parts: Healing the Soul through Rock 'n' Roll' in 2008. Starting in 2011, we kind of lost our path, and let go of helping humanity wake up because very few people read my book, and it didn't have the impact on people our soul told us it would have. We read the NDERF website, and did a lot of research on NDE's, but then, around 2019, we thought, 'Ya know, I really want to have an NDE without nearly dying...can I do that God?' And that thought started an entire chain reaction. We saw a podcast of a doctor named Dr. Botkin, who wrote a book called Induced After Death Communication. He used EMDR like eye movements to trigger his patients into a state where they saw the deceased person they had trauma around, and could communicate with them, and come back healed. Boy howdy, if Dr. Botkin can trigger and Induced After Death communication, then I can find a way to safely trigger and NDE, and thus was born the Induced Near-Death Experience, or what I call, the INDEX.

Around this time, we started riding our bicycle outside. The pandemic hit, and one day, we found a cloth mask on the trail that said, 'Cover your meowth, I'm not kitten around' and we thought that it was really cool since we have two cats. Then, a few days later, we found another cloth mask. We said to the Universe, hey, we like finding masks, send us more! And they did. But after a month or so, we realized the Universe was sending us messages in the masks. The synchronicities were unmistakable, and many messages seemed to be guiding me as to the steps that could trigger the INDEX. So, we started writing down the writing and tags on all of the masks we found. That led to finding messages in garbage, recycling, license plates, people's shirts, songs on Pandora radio, you name the messages were everywhere. We ultimately found over 2,000 cloth masks, and cleaned and donated them to a local children's hospital.

Thanks for bearing with me, I'm trying to make this shorter which will lead up to my NDE/Spiritually Transformative Experience. We went along finding stuff on our bike for awhile, and when we'd ride, it was like a moving meditation. We'd talk to God, and had a mantra that started, 'Thank you Universe for helping me remember and rediscover a safe, simple, fast, effective, primitive way for everyone to have a Near-Death Experience with sound, scent, light, color, sacred geometry, numerology, tapping, spinning, one eye open etc. I thought if we did a precise number of steps in a certain order, that like Dr. Botkin, it would trigger an NDE.

Then, over a year ago, we found something that said 'STRINGS.' That jogged a memory of a book we read by Dr. Eric Pearl where he went to a healing energy session, and then started being able to heal his chiropractic patients with his hands above them. About 50 of his patients 'channeled' the same six phrases, including 'You are reconnecting strands' and 'You are reconnecting strings.' This made us think, hey, maybe we can do the INDEX energetically instead of with a protocol. Are you with me so far? Good. Now the band comes back into the picture.

In March of 2023, the band was playing several shows in Florida. We hadn't seen them live in about 5 or 6 years, but we have lots of relatives and friends in Florida, so we decided to buy tickets and go visit everyone. We wrote to the band a few days before the show (we had written them emails between 2005-2010 about our bigger vision of rock 'n' roll healing everyone) and let them know about some of the stuff we wrote above. The band and many fans are part of our larger soul group, and it was our belief that we had a traumatic lifetime together that we're all drawn to the music to in order to heal. But, we get stuck, and healing doesn't usually take place.

While we were waiting for the band to come on stage at the first show, we saw the backs of two different fans wearing the same shirt that said, 'Dream Police.' Aha! another clue! It dawned on us that the band's music might somehow trigger the INDEX when people are sleeping and dreaming. Wouldn't that be cool? Go to a concert, and wake up knowing you're one with the Divine, and loved beyond all measure. When we'd ride, we'd go through all of the steps we wanted included in the NDE...Out of body, tunnel, deceased loved ones, life review, past life experience (where our soul is healed from a major issue/trauma), and a one on one with the Big Cheese. So, we thought, hum, can we tap into this consciousness the way Dr. Pearl did, and allow it to get triggered at a concert, and then manifest as the most vivid dream imaginable. People would wake up healing from their biggest issue in life, and be able to live more productive, fulfilled lives.

So for the past few months, we've been writing to the band about our synchronicities, many that involve the band, insights, all kinds of stuff that relates to the INDEX. We now think they can write a song with specific notes that spells a common word, and perhaps use Hans Jenny's Cymatics (sound that vibrates a powder, sand or liquid and creates a pattern) as a visual to help trigger the INDEX. We're playing with everything that shows up.

Now, here's the NDE part that we experienced a few days ago. This is an edited version of the email I sent to them describing what happened to me. It's not a classic NDE, but we did think we died during the journey, even though we were conscious on some level the entire time.

Hey everyone,

Well, ask the Universe for a Near-Death experience without nearly dying, and after repeatedly asking for three years, something happened that we're still trying to process.

On Friday, we were out on our bike about 8 miles from home, in the 90+ degree heat which we've done many times before, and started to notice that we were losing track of time. It was as if we were missing a few seconds, but then we realized as we biked, we needed to get home, for something was wrong.

We'll try to explain what happened, but it's difficult to describe. We were able to bike somehow, and at the same time, there were hundreds of alternate realities that were on either side of us like waves, but they were black wavy lines. We totally lost track of where we were going, and time. We can remember snippets of the ride, and stopping to drink more water, but we couldn't discern what was this reality. It was the most disorienting experience, because we also couldn't remember anything, and we felt as though we were biking without being aware of where we were going. We thought we'd never get home and that we  were riding in circles because the words we kept hearing were that 'time creates a loop on itself.'

We'd stop and the alternate realities were right next to us, but we could look at our cycle computer, and think, 'Huh, it says two minutes has passed, but it feels like I've been biking for years.' Time was totally altered. There was a higher consciousness giving us messages, sometimes referred to as the observer, that we'd read about. It's being able to tap into that neutral part of ourselves that's free from the ego and is like a watcher (fan posted about the 'Watcher' TV show you did years ago that morning) that knows things from a higher perspective.

We started to panic that we were dying and thought how terrible our life would be like if we always felt this way. We said to God that if we die, then the INDEX probably won't manifest, and we have to help everyone wake up. We were very concerned about that, and It felt as if we were IN ANOTHER WORLD (we looked at our headboard this morning, and there is the CD for In Another World without its case. We have no recollection of how it got there). Somehow, we got about 6 miles closer to home, and we saw a tree, but couldn't determine if it was in this reality. It was so freakin' weird.

We decided the tree must be real, but also had the thought, 'I must be having a near-death experience. It's what I've been asking for, I can't believe this is really happening. Thank you God for the spiritual experience, but this is not what we want for the fans/masses. This is too disturbing. We want something with music to trigger the INDEX a lot more safely and to be enjoyable.'  Somehow, we could manage those thoughts with all hell breaking loose around us. But we each don't get what we want, we get what we need. The alternate realities were too overwhelming, whatever they were, that's what they felt like. We didn't explore them that we can remember, the waves were just constantly present, even when we stopped biking. The observer/watcher voice said, 'Please help me...help me get home' which is a reference for us going back to our spiritual home.

So, somehow we sit by the tree, cars passed by, and we couldn't determine if they were real or not. We then looked at the street sign, and were able to get our phone out of it's case, and saw our husband's phone number and called him. We've intentionally not mentioned him in any emails, because this lifetime he agreed to not be into spiritual stuff because we asked his soul to not remember so that we could go on our journey and have faith in our process without his support. So, we're sitting under the tree, and look at our phone, and since we couldn't remember if we'd called him, it said his name and the call was two minutes earlier. It felt as though we'd waited 100 years so we called him again, and he was on his way because somehow we got the name of the cross streets correct.

All along, we seem normal. We can talk and answer questions, but what's going on inside our brain is totally messed up. He finally gets to us, and we head to the hospital. And it got trippier, because we tell the doctor that we know it sounds nuts, but we're having a Near-Death experience and everyone says, 'But you're not dead.' We really thought at times we were dead, since we couldn't determine what was real in this reality. If someone spoke to us, we could focus for a few seconds, and then time got all wonky again.

And then the spiritual stuff started oozing out of us. We had no filter or ego, so whatever our higher self or soul brought to mind, it vomited from our throat and lips and we didn't care what anyone thought. We'd say to the doctor or nurse that we're seeing alternate realities and dimensions, having a spiritual NDE, time is in a loop and repeating itself, and of course they're like you're crazy. But it just kept coming out. We were tapping into some other dimension guys, and we kept saying to our husband to write down what we said. And then we'd ask him to read it back because we forgot what just popped out of our mouth!

They ran a bunch of tests and a CT scan, and everything was normal. Our heart beat was high, but that settled down after we drank 5 cans of Gatorade, a saline IV, and put ice on the back of our head. The doctor did not diagnose heat stroke,  but we think the heat triggered the out of body/alternate reality, and the watcher kept us going on our bicycle for at least a half hour while the non-physical stuff was happening. In the past, when it's very hot, we faint. Why we didn't pass out we think was because our higher self wanted us to be conscious enough to remember some of what we were experiencing.

We're writing it all down to you so we don't forget. Even when we got home, we were still telling our daughter that we're in another dimension and alternate reality. The feeling didn't go away until we went to sleep at night and drank a bunch more water.  The next day (Saturday) we felt more 'normal.' No alternate realities or dimensions.

Here is the list of stuff that we kept telling our husband to write down in his phone. We thought we may have been having a Kundalini experience, and we blurted out EDGAR CAYCE out of the blue. He was referred to as, 'The Sleeping Prophet' and that's what we heard in our noggin, that we might become a sleeping prophet. If that's the case we don't want to be in that bizarre state. We're hoping our soul opened a portal that we'll figure out how to access other dimensions safely. If Dr. Pearl could do a healing session and then unwittingly start healing people in his practice, then we damn well better be able to jump start the INDEX after this alternate reality experience.

Note: One thing I did mention to our husband in the hospital room was that I'd written 2,500 pages of notes and probably wrote a hundred pages to the band so far. He had no idea about the volume of stuff. And while we said that, that watcher/observer wanted us to share with you and our husband that you are both very important on this journey. The observer wanted you to know that we do have a husband, and for him to know that we were writing to you because we think ya'll had a lifetime together that had some animosity between one another. We asked last email to energetically make amends the former drummer, and we hope that energetically, the rift between the important men in our life can take place on the soul level.

Here's the things we said. We don't remember most of them, but we were tapping into something, it felt like we were channeling guys, and though we don't want to recreate this experience because it was so disorienting, we hope it returns and tickles us instead of slamming us against a wall and shaking up our mind!

Out of my body

Out of time

In a different dimension

I don't remember what I just said

I don't remember what you just said

I had a near death experience

Did I die and come back

Living in a different dimension

And not remembering the past

Does not remember going into the hospital unless husband mentions it

Feels like being pulled into a different reality

I think I am dead

I am having an NDE experience

I died and I'm coming back

Time is shifting

Legs feel weird

It feels like a hallucinogenic experience

Talking keeps me here

It feels like days have gone by

I am in a different world

It was a spiritual death

It is a transformation

I need to spiritually wake up

I said to you wake up

There is no tomorrow there is only right now and it keeps looping over and over again

Change, cage, chain

Time is distorted when you spiritually die

Come back into your body Laura

I have no idea what I am saying

Induced near death experience

Spiritual death is more profound because you are in two realities

Oh my God I am exhausted

I want to merge the spiritual world with the physical world

I could be having a Kundalini awakening

So it's my head that is having the issues, I feel pressure on my ears

It's harder to focus when you're talking

I am feeling this time loop thing

I want to go back to the way things were

Maybe a shaman would help?

Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet

I am stuck in this dimension where everything is really slow

It's all so weird

Something felt like it was on top of my head

Do you see how we're Cassandra again?(Cassandra in Greek mythology has the gift of prophecy, but Apollo curses her so no one believes her predictions)  NO ONE BELIEVED we were having a spiritual experience, they just thought we were delusional. And so it goes, until everyone else has an experience of the Divine. We hope we can transmit/connect whatever  will trigger the INDEX to you and then to the fans. Perhaps we need to be near you, like at a concert? Is it like a portal we go through, and come out the other side into ANOTHER WORLD? We don't know at this point, so will see how things unfold.

We've got a bunch of new notes to write, and though we'll be more careful biking and try to go out when it's cooler early in the morning, we will not be as addicted to riding as we were in the past. It's a sign to take it easier, and free up our consciousness with less thought so the ego can take a back seat and the Divine came come through. We will heed the message as best we can to become a purer conduit.

Thank you for reading this bizarre but very significant experience. We trust you will be guided, just as we've been, to the next steps for this soul group's evolution.

Oceans of light,

Laura

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   No

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes     It felt like I was going in circles and time kept looping over and over. So, the experience is difficult to describe, but I had waking consciousness and a dream like state together at the same time.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      While I was riding my bike. I tried really hard to focus on the road, but the waves kept me disoriented.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      Less consciousness and alertness than normal   I was awake and riding my bike, but time got really distorted. I couldn't tell reality from this dream I was in, that's what it felt like. Dreaming and awake simultaneously.

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   The waves were on both sides of my vision, like wavy lines, but I could see 'reality' I just couldn't process it in my mind. I couldn't tell what was real, and what wasn't.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   My hearing didn't seem any different. It was my vision that was all messed up in my mind.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   Yes   I could see 'reality' but there was a consciousness I've read about, the observer or watcher, that was with me and giving me words/thoughts. It was separate from my ego, no doubt about that. My ego totally dissolved, and I think that was part of why things were so disorienting.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Happiness that I was having something like an NDE, scared that I would stay like that the rest of my life, and concerned that what I was experiencing was not what I wanted for the fans of the band. I wanted a wonderful, uplifting NDE for them, and while I was riding my bike, that thought/emotion came up.

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   Yes   The waves kind of made a tunnel in my vision, but it wasn't the kind of tunnel described in typical NDEs.

Did you see an unearthly light?   No

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I heard a voice I could not identify
The voice was the observer, perhaps my soul, guiding me and giving me thoughts while I rode my bike. It was definitely separate from my ego.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   No

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   A clearly mystical or unearthly realm

Yes, while I could 'see' around me, it felt as if I was being pulled into another world, another reality. It was very disturbing and exhilarating at the same time.

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Time seemed to go faster or slower than usual
Oh my, yes, real time was slowed down to an incredibly slow snail's pace. It felt as though years had gone by, when only a minute or two passed.

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Yes
The waves or other realities felt like a boundary. I couldn't go into or explore them, but they co-existed with 'reality' in my field of vision.

Did you come to a border or point of no return?   No

Did scenes from the future come to you?  No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   I was talking about other realities and dimension, NDE's, and trying to tell people about what I was experiencing while it was happening. Life or consciousness definitely extends past the physical body.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   There was a unity/oneness regarding time for me, which I'd consider a universal connection to all that is. Time wasn't linear, it seemed to be slowed down dramatically, almost to the point of no time.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s meaning or purpose?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding earthly life’s difficulties, challenges, or hardships?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness regarding love?   No

During your experience, did you encounter any other specific information / awareness that you have not shared in other questions that is relevant to living our earthly lives?   No

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   Yes   I asked for an NDE without dying, and I got it. It just didn't unfold as I'd expected. So, the special knowledge was the Universe saying, 'You don't always get what you want, you get what you need.'

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was both consistent and not consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   I didn't expect to have an NDE that was while I was conscious, or that it would include distortion and slowing of time, and having me see waves that represented other realities and dimensions. That was a surprise! But it was distressing in several ways, and now I know this isn't what I want rock fans to experience. So, we'll work on finding a way to have an NDE while asleep...at least that's the plan for now.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   Since time was collapsing on itself and repeating, I tried really hard to remember the experience, and it was only a few days ago. I wanted to fill out this questionnaire so I could remember things more clearly.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   It's just been a few days, but the experience showed me that if we ask the Universe with an open heart for something, that I draw the experience to me through the Law of Attraction. I've had to work through my emotional issues as best I can to be a clearer vessel for the Divine to work through me. We are all conduits and extensions of God. But my waking NDE didn't follow the typical protocol. That's par for the course for me, since I've been espousing that rock 'n' roll is karmically engineered to help us heal from group past life trauma. I know of no one that has come to that conclusion. So now, I rest in knowing my NDE experience is leading me closer to discovering how to have the INDEX safely, and that it will work for all humanity. If it could happen to me, it can happen to EVERYONE.

My experience directly resulted in:   Moderate changes in my life

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?
No

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Uncertain   Not sure since the experience was so recent. But I trust that I possibly opened a portal of some kind for my consciousness to go through again. Just need to figure out how to tap into it without having a heat-related episode. We're hoping my psychic antennae will pick up how to do have the INDEX safely.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?
The entire episode is meaningful, but when I started channeling phrases about other realities, and really trying to get other people to understand that I wasn't crazy, was the most powerful part for me.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?
Yes  I was sharing it simultaneously as the NDE was happening. They thought I was having a psychotic break.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   Yes   Many years of research. The knowledge didn't impact my NDE. I was aware that my experience wasn't following the NDE protocol, but I couldn't change or influence what was happening.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   Others think I was having heat stroke and delusional, but I know it was real because I've asked for it every day for over 3 years to have an Induced Near-Death Experience.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   Same answer as above since it only happened a few days ago.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   No

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   No

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?   I hope readers understand that we create our reality through thoughts, both conscious and subconscious. When we focus on something over and over, it becomes a part of our energy/vibration because thoughts are waves/energy. The insights from my experience will continue to unfold in the coming weeks/months. My first spiritual awakening in 2002 is still having ripples impact me. So, we are never complete, and we're always evolving. You are a magnificent being whether you've had an NDE or not. Embrace your divinity, and go forth like you're a rock star. We become what we think we are. Who do you dream of being? You can become anything in your mind. So reach for the stars, ride your bicycle, and become one with the Universe. It's really fun!

Did the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?   Yes   There is always more to write about my journey. It never ends. But the questions helped me describe the experience pretty closely to what happened.

What could a national organization with an interest in near death experience (NDE) do that would be of interest to you?  Yes!

Are there any other questions that we could ask to help you communicate your experience?              Most NDEs are immersive in that the person thinks they're totally in the 'other world.' My experience was both worlds occurring simultaneously. A question about the merging of two realities might be helpful for some people.
