Experience description:

At the time of my experience since the age of 10 or so I vowed to myself to discover the existence of life after death. I was reading books such as Journeys out of the body but did not really know how to meditate. I was approximately 15 and visiting a friend named Cindy. This friend had a younger sister named Kim who I believe was 13 at the time. About two years prior Kim the sister had begged her mother to take in this white kitten. Her mother did not like cats but finally relented on the condition that Kim take care of the cat. So on this particular day when I was visiting it had probably been about a year since I had seen this beautiful white healthy cat. I was appalled at the condition of this cat during my visit. The cat was skin and bones living in deplorable conditions. It was shaking so bad, the litter box was beyond full of excrement that the cat was using its surrounding area and the smell was horrendous. I could not believe the conditions this cat was suffering. When I saw the cat and heard its pitiful cries I had a physical pain occur in my heart. I immediately called my mom who had cats and asked her if she would take the cat. She agreed on one condition that the cat was cleared by a vet for feline leukemia etc before she brought it home. I can’t tell you the absolute joy I felt that the cat would be going to a good home. Well that elation lasted a very brief time as my friends mother refused to take the cat to a vet. I was devastated. My friend and I were then in her driveway washing the mom’s car when I noticed the cat outside eating grass. Occasionally the cat was allowed to roam around the house. When I saw the cat I said to myself, I hope the cat gets hit by a car- I then immediately admonished myself for thinking this but then I said , no I do wish the cat would be hit by a car and put out of its misery. Suddenly I was being told the cat was going to be hit by a car. I was distinctly aware of a male energy off to my left and a female energy off to my right. Then there was my ego self saying huh- there really is something more out there- meaning beyond ourselves. This is hard to describe but the male energy was imparting to me everything going on around me as in sounds a split second before I actually heard the sounds and the female energy was imparting to me an overwhelming reassurance that the cat was going to a better place, the cat would be fine it was going to a better place- over and over. At the same time the male energy was imparting that the cat was going to be hit by a car at the same time guiding me into the house and making me aware of everything that was going to happen a second prior to it happening. For example I was aware of walking into the home and being aware of where my friend’s father would be located a second before I saw where he was- I was aware of what he was going to say a second before he said it- I was guided into chair and aware that I would hear the screeching of tire again a second before I actually heard the screeching of the tires. I was aware of the back door banging again a second before I heard the back door- I was aware of who would be coming in and that they would tell me the cat was hit by a car a second prior to actually hearing this- and the second I was told the cat had been hit by a car it was like a whooshing up of the energy and it was gone and I was left in a state of absolute peace and joy for the cat. The entire time the male energy was making me aware of what was going to happen the female energy just kept imparting the cat would fine, the cat is going to a better place. I have never forgotten this experience but have later on wondered if these energies can do this for what in hind site was in the scheme of things a small event - and made sure I was protected from the actual event- which I should clarify it was like being in a trance in that I could not deviate from walking into the house - anyway I often think now why do these energies not intervene in more important moments of life. I also in contemplating the event wonder if because for probably the first time in my life instead of saying or thinking the nice or acceptable thing I authentically stated to myself that I did hope the cat was hit by a car.  This event convinced me beyond a shadow of doubt of the existence of the spirit and life beyond our human experience.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      The entire experience

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   My senses were beyond normal- aware of everything around me and a sense  of knowing everything to happen, hear or see seconds before in reality.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Very natural- like there really is something outside ourselves  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin
