Experience description:

I have been reading about NDE's and the afterlife lately, so it's fitting I had this dream 2 nights ago. I was talking to a few people whom I did not know, I assume they were deceased because they were were asking me to come with them (it was somehow understood they meant the next life), I explained that I would like to but I couldn't. We were on the edge of a fast moving river. I explained to them that I would be allowed to go to a certain point and the river would stop me. I said, let me show you. You see that whirlpool there (pointing to a spot in the water). That is as far as they will let me go. Let me show you. I jumped in the water. As soon as I got to the whirlpool, my dream took a weird left turn about reincarnation.

When I got to the point of the whirlpool, I was lifted out of the water and weird carnival music (or the ending of a video game when the music plays) started playing. I was moved around above the water in a counterclockwise motion, I was like I was hovering over the ocean. I was brought over the beach, back into the water, beach water, etc. I Said, You see I cant go with you yet.

I was put down on an area of land where someone else (unfamiliar) to me stated to look at a bunch of monkeys (over and over) trying different ways to get a ball of water over a wall. I instinctively knew this was m life review.

The next scene has me back at the water. This time the water was calm though. Someone asked me is it going to hurt when you go in there (I knew this was about dying). I told them I have done this before (News to me. I know everyone is reincarnated, I just don't know where I am on that chain). When you go in there (die) you wont feel it. It gave me a quick flashback Of me drowning). This makes a bit of sense as I am terrified when it comes to drowning and choking). Maybe this is how I died in a past life. The flashback has me going into a body of water but instead of struggling, I was breathing normally underwater. Back at the edge of the water standing with a "stranger", 2 circles made of water came out of the larger body of water and hovered just above the waterline. I knew in my head that I had 2 go in between the 2 circles and into the water to go on to the next life. As I started to go in I was woken up.

I do not know why my mind or whoever put that dream in my head grossly oversimplified the reincarnation process. I have been reading books about the metaphysics of the afterlife and reincarnation, so I found it almost annoying that I would be described to me using video game music and silver monkeys sitting on top of each other playing with a water ball.
