Experience description:

While he was very ill with throat cancer, in hospital, my grand-father told one of my aunts that my grand-mother had come to tell him it was time to go. My grand-mother was already deceased. He gradually declined and came to a stage where he was in and out of consciousness, at some point, he told the nurses to stop waking him up because he was getting closer to God (he said: "arrêtez de me réveiller, je me rapproche du bon Dieu").

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?          No     

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event? Yes   

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?    My grandfather was in and out of consciousness.

           
Was the experience dream like in any way?  Not sure, but it seemed real to him. 

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          He seemed to feel matter of fact and confident.

Did you meet or see any other beings?         Yes      

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?   My grandfather passed away after this.

Have you shared this experience with others?       Yes          We took it at face value.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?          Not sure

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience? I believe my grandfather.
