Experience description:

I awoke with my alarm clock feeling normal. When I got out of bed and stood up I had an intense and immediate feeling of nausea, faintly, shaking uncontrollably. I never actually vomited, I got back in bed rested for a moment and tried several times to get back up only to go thru the experience again. I ended up staying home from work. My husband and I own our business and both our children work with us. My staying home, caused my daughter to arrive late to work as she rode in with her Dad. As they were pulling into work, an ambulance passed them. My son had suffered a broken femur in a freak accident. Had this event not happened - my daughter and I would have witnessed the event along with his screaming in pain.

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event? Yes   

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?    Awake

            Was the experience dream like in any way?  No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?   No     

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Confused

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?         No

Did you see a light?        Uncertain     I don’t recall, I had feelings of going to pass out and never did, so I experienced narrowing of my field of vision.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No     

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different? Uncertain     I don’t recall - this guttural upheaval that came on quickly and intensely without warning or feelings of illness immediately prior.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  No     

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?         Uncertain     Not during the event but after learning what had occurred with my son. I felt I was either feeling his fear/pain response. While I didn’t feel his pain I think I was feeling his response as it was occurring. I also felt blessed that my daughter and were spared having to witness this.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience? Uncertain     I typically feel shifts or major events coming. Increased anxiety that can elevate to full blown panic. I feel impending dread/concern for no apparent reason. When the shift or event finally reveals itself by happening - then I receive clarity. From this I pay close attention to the feelings and their intensity.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?     No     

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?   It hasn’t changed anything, I just began to educate myself in order to understand.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?     It prevented my daughter the trauma of witnessing her brother injury.
