Experience description:

On May 18, 2017 I had a massive heart attack also called a stemie. While I was sitting in the ER I began to pray. I told God that I needed him right now. I am him to send surround me with a hedge of protection. At that exact moment I could see angels coming down and surrounding me. The stood shoulder to shoulder and their backs were towards me. Suddenly I had no more pain. I was at total peace. I told my partner that if I lived or died that everything was going to be ok. He had also been in the restroom praying at the exact same time that I had been praying. Years before, I had told got that I needed conformation that my lifestyle was not going to affect the decision of whether or not I go to heaven. And with a sweet, calm voice he whispered in my right ear " where I am you shall be also". So I knew that when I needed him he would be there for me. And he was that day in the ER. He sent his angels to protect me.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?      I was totally awake and alert through the whole process.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      Normal consciousness and alertness   It was the same as usual.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Total peace and love.

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   I knew that there is a heaven. And God had sent his angels to protect me.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  I immediately told my partner and others that God had sent his angels to protect me.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   I saw it with my own two eyes while I was fully awake. I know it was real.
