Vanessa G's Experience

Experience description:

At the time, I was two or three years old.  I was wearing a purple t shirt with a little pocket on it, and a diaper. I was laying on my back on my mom's bed with my arms and legs extended outward. I remember looking up at the ceiling fan watching it go around, then all of a sudden im on the ceiling looking down at my body on the bed. I specifically remember thinking..."why isn't the fan hitting me?"  I stared at my body in amazement, and then just as suddenly as it had happened I was back in my body. I gasped and sat straight up, then I ran to my mom who was out in the living room. Throughout the experience while it was occurring I remember just being confused and wondering how it was possible for me to be doing that.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         No response            I'm not sure if my experience made me who I am today or not, however I do know that it has definitely given me ideas that I never would have thought of if I hadn't had it. its also made me believe in the "afterlife" for sure.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     iv told my mom, who thinks im a good story teller.

iv told my sister who says she believes me, but she's shy and wouldn't tell me if she really didn't.

and iv told my best friend when we were talking about weird things that have happened to us. she believes me and said that she can tell there's something special about me.

and my grandma, who believes me because she has also had one.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  I was little, only 2 or 3 so naturally I was scared when I returned to my body, I didn't understand what had just happened, or why. I was also in haw.  today I feel like iv had a once in a lifetime experience that not near everyone gets to have. im still in haw to this day and will never think anything less of it other then it was the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      I couldn't believe it was happening, the best part was that it happened at all. the worst part was that it ended, if I had the choice to stay out of my body like that I would, most defiantly, it was the coolest thing in the world.

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        I just want to know why it happened, did I do something to trigger it? and if so how do I do it again?

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No response            I felt light, like I wasn't physically there, just mentally, or spiritually.

Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.    you should ask them specifically if they remember thinking or talking to themselves during the experience, because I remember my thoughts vividly.
