Experience description:

I saw and felt myself to leave my bed and go right thru the roof. I quickly ascended to space and in a moment there appeared a revolving walkway, like the ones in the airports where you just stand there and they move you forward. I stepped onto it and it moved me forward and upward. As I went further up, I saw my uncle along the side but not too close. He waved to me happy. I got to the end of this "revolving walkway belt" and found my grandmother who is also dead there. She did not speak to me but hugged me. It was a wonderful warm hug. she was dressed in new clothes and looked fabulous.  she did not speak to me with words but we communicated.  

At the end of the walkway,  a few paces forward were 2 doors. My grandmother escorted me to the first door and I understood to go in. I did. As I opened the door and closed it behind me I could tell that I was in a HUGE and VAST room that felt like it had no ceiling. The room was filled with this BRILLIANT light so bright that it was opalescent. A light that shimmered and sparkled. I could not stop from taking it all in. It was so wonderful. I felt like I was in the presence of God. There was a peace beyond words. I don't know how long I stood there mesmerized by this brilliant peaceful light when the door opened and my grandmother summoned me to step outside again. I was full of questions, but she did not respond to me. Instead she opened the next door and indicated me to go in. It was a small narrow room with a wall of shelves on one side and the light there felt like when you step into a closet and turn on the light. 

As I started to look at the objects on the shelves, I realized they were not things or objects but that the things on the shelves were real people. BABIES!!

When I was 19 my daughter died of SIDS. She was 4 months old. The babies sitting on the shelves like dolls seemed to be in suspended animation "sleeping". What caught my eye was the shelf above my eye level. There was a baby moving and waving and smiling and I looked up and saw that it was MY baby!!!! Emotion overcame me and I reached up and took her off the shelf. I held her in my arms and she was dressed beautifully. Although she was only 4 months old when she died, but somehow I felt she was able to communicate with me at that level and she comforted me and told me she was doing well and happy. I had tears of joy and sadness at the same time that I knew she must stay there. I put her back on the shelf and the door opened. it was my grandmother again. I stepped outside and she told me without speaking to me that I needed to go back. I looked at the first door and asked her if I could just go back there one more time to the room with the brilliant light. she said I could but only for a moment. I quickly stepped into the room but this time there was no light. It was just a huge vast empty room. The beautiful presence was not there. I stepped back out to my waiting grandmother and told her I did not want to go back but she told me that I needed to go back. 

She no sooner communicated that to me when the moving beltway appeared at my feet and she escorted me to step on it. I started traveling downward and then suddenly I reentered my body with such a slam that my husband sat up to see what happened. I began to sob and tell him what had happened. I did not want to come back because of the most magnificent experience I had just had. I felt changed in my thinking.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No    

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?    I was at my highest level of consciousness when I stepped into the room with the bright light.

 How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal everyday consciousness and alertness?      More consciousness and alertness than normal   I realized that this was no dream

You can't convince me that I was not in the presence of God's light

My grandmothers hug was so real, I could still feel it even after

 Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.   There was no sound. It was a peaceful quiet.

 Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?   No  

What emotions did you feel during the experience?   Incredible peace, joy, wonderment, no fear  

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?   No  

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   As I travelled thru space all I could see was the twinkling stars until I got to room #1

 Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?   I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin

 Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth who are described by name in religions (for example: Jesus, Muhammad, Buddha, etc.)?   No  

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?   Yes   My uncle, my grandmother and my baby ere all deceased when I saw them again.

 Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?   No  

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?   A clearly mystical or unearthly realm

 Did time seem to speed up or slow down?   Everything seemed to be happening at once; or time stopped or lost all meaning
 I don't know how much time I spent in each place

 Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?   No

 Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Yes
The end of the revolving path and there were only two rooms

 Did you come to a border or point of no return?   I came to a barrier that I was not permitted to cross; or was "sent back" against my will

 Did scenes from the future come to you?  No 

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there either is (or is not) continued existence after earthly life (�life after death�)?   Yes   I have always believed in Heaven & God. This confirmed it for me

 During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   I have always believed in Heaven & God. This confirmed it for me. This was not a dream.

 During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that you either did (or did not) exist prior to this lifetime?   No  

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that a mystical universal connection or unity/oneness either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   experience only

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   Yes   To see and know that my beloveds were so happy, healthy and in Heaven was so good for me.

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience more accurately than other life events that occurred around the time of the experience     

My experience directly resulted in:   Large changes in my life

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   Yes   I cleaned up my values and changed things that I was ashamed of

 Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?   I was allowed to be in the presence of the light. God loves me. I am not ashamed to tell this story

 Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   No

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  Less than 24 hours. They were shocked. Telling it to my husband at the moment when I thudded back into my body in the bed, really made him look astonished.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   I could not stop reliving it all. The feelings, the emotions.

 What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real  

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Yes   I am very careful about negative people

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?   This is an experience that can not be imagined in your wildest dreams. You NEVER forget it. EVER.

What could a national organization with an interest in near death experience (NDE) do that would be of interest to you?        I don't understand the question.
