Saul P's Experience

Experience description:

I found myself in a dark tunnel at the end of which I saw a small, powerful light.  I walked slowly but confidently toward it which grew as I got closer.  At the end of my journey, the tunnel and darkness gave way to a complete, ineffable light where there was a resplendent city without shadows.

Three days after this nighttime dream, at 10 a.m. while I was at work, I felt an enormous luminous force ascend from my body to my head which changed my way of seeing the world from being normally gray to illuminated as if everything has its own internal light.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words?          No

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?  During the moments of illumination while in my dream as well as during the subsequent waiting period.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?          More consciousness and alertness than normal

If your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience was different from your normal every day consciousness and alertness, please explain:       The conviction of having perceived part of True Reality.

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?          Yes    Precisely the amplification of all these things included in the question.

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?
Yes    Greater acuity.  I now know what it means "to hear."

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?          Yes

What emotions did you feel during the experience?          Abundance, joyfulness, peace.  I have found what I was looking for:  The Meaning of Life.

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?        Yes    Answered in question 3.

Did you see a light?         Yes    Answered in question 3.

Did you meet or see any other beings?         No

Did you experience a review of past events in your life?   No      Not at all.  I experienced the existence of another world unequivocally true and joyful, and from that moment on I have only been interested in deepening my understanding of it.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?         No

Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or dimensions?          No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  No

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?     Yes    Answered in questions 12 and 21.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? No

Did you become aware of future events?      No

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience?       No

Have you shared this experience with others?        Yes    Immediately, and the response was complete indifference.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience? No      I didn't have any deep understanding of the NDE until just a few days ago, but before the experience I had read about Buddhist enlightenment and things related to that.

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   It has remained imbedded within me and has produced fulfillment, assurance, and a desire to share it with others so that they might also want to experience something similar.

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you? Answered in questions 3, 12 and 21

How do you currently view the reality of your experience:          Experience was definitely real
I consider this experience to be something normal and my longing is to contact other people who have had like experiences or similar to my own and who have found that sincere acts and Love are the pathway to amplifying this Knowledge.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?          Yes    I live as a single person with my family but I am not alone.

Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your experience? Yes    Jesus and only He is the fulfillment of this Knowledge and only by way of the personal mystical pathway excluding all organized religions.

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?    No

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?      No.

Did the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and comprehensively describe your experience? Yes    Regarding illumination...I have recently discovered what is clearly described in the Hindu tradition as "Kundalini Awakening," but together with what I expressed earlier, the experience is perfected through the knowledge of the Love of Jesus which also happened sequentially in my own spiritual history.

Are there any other questions we could ask to help you communicate your experience?   I think the questionnaire is well structured.  Perhaps there is a super-imposition of questions but I'm not sure.
