Experience description:

I had a lump in my breast that I thought was a cyst and had put off having looked at. I went out for a walk during lunch and had a sensation that I was floating away from everything in the world and detaching from this world and going someplace else that was absolutely wonderful. I felt so overjoyed. I heard a message that once I left, I couldn't come back and it gave me pause, but I decided I still wanted to go. Then I was told I would be going alone and I realized I was going to die and I said 'no!' I had two young kids and couldn't leave them. My sense of floating away reversed and I felt like I was back in this world. Then I was told, 'If you want to live, you have to see a doctor as soon as possible.'

After going to the doctor, I eventually found out I had an extremely rare type of breast cancer, had a mastectomy and many lymph nodes removed. The doctors believed I was terminal, but I absolutely knew I wasn't going to die. I am still alive 15 years later.
