Experience description:

I have had some strange dreams but I don't believe this was a dream. I don't understand how it could be. I have been very confused about it since it happened. I was upstairs sleeping on a cot and I heard my niece getting ready to leave for school. If I spent the night at my step brothers house I always made sure I was up to say good-bye to her, and have a nice day, and all that. But that morning I heard her leaving and thought "I have to go say bye to Krystal"

So I jumped up and ran downstairs where she and her mom were putting their coats on and she ran over to me and hugged me, kissed me on the forehead (which she usually didn't do) and said Bye Uncle Sam...See ya tonight" then she ran out the door in front of her mom and yelled something to a friend walking by.

Suddenly I was back on the cot upstairs and heard them talking as if they were still getting ready to leave. I jumped up and went downstairs and exactly the same thing happened. I even knew she would run out the door in front of her mom and yell something to her friend. It was like I was in a movie and something  fast forwarded me to that part then instantly I was back at the part I got fast forwarded from and did it all again. Almost like that movie called "Groundhog day" where the same thing happened every day. Only this just happened once.

Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Uncertain      After I thought about it later I realized there was definitely a difference but didn't realize it at the time.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            nothing usual. It was as though everything was normal.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           No only what I would have heard had it been real.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?    No            I never left the house.

Did you see a light?           No       N/A

Did you meet or see any other beings?           No

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? No       I wasn't aware that anything was not normal.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes     I saw it happen again before my own eyes after I thought I'd already done that.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?          No

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Uncertain            not during the first time I thought it was really happening but when I saw the whole incident happen all over again I had a real problem staying calm.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             No

Did you become aware of future events?       Yes     I knew she would run out the door ahead of her mom which she usually didn't do,  I knew she would kiss me on the forehead which she usually didn't do, and I knew she would yell something to a friend passing by.

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       No

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   Yes     I often have dreams now that are warnings or signs of safety or good things coming.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Other than to completely freak me out and make me question the meaning of life? To me there was no point in what happened. Other than now I know that visions are not limited to ancient Bible characters. Yet I still don't understand what happened or how it happened, I just know I feel like I saw a 2 minute clip of a movie before it was filmed.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       Since then I've had dreams that are not so exact but are easy to figure out. At the time I had abandoned all religion. I only believed there was a creator and that He'd most likely given up hope and walked away. Since then I have done a lot of research into "the meaning of life" and I have become quite interested in the paranormal I guess you could call it.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     I became convinced that we have conscientiousness that survives outside the body and I've been much more conscience of that since then.

Have you shared this experience with others?         No       What emotions did you experience following your experience?        mostly confusion

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      there was no good part or bad part it was just a normal things I'd do anyway. It was afterwards I got freaked out.

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        Since that happened I have tried to find a meaning but so far I'm still looking. If it had helped me prevent something bad from happening or done some good of some kind I could understand but it was really kind of meaningless.

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No

Did the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?               Uncertain      It is a hard thing to explain what happened. It wasn't like a dream or like I was out of my body. It was like it really happened but how could it have happened twice in a row and I'm the only one that knows it or experienced it?

Please offer any suggestions you may have to improve this questionnaire.    No suggestions...I just appreciate that someone is taking the time to look into this. You can't tell anyone about things like this because they think you're crazy.
