Rosemary P's Experience
I had a dream that I was in a car with someone. All I could see was my side of the windshield and the road in front of the car. A small child ( about 4 or 5 years old) was walking on the right side of the road and I said, "That child is too small to be out walking alone, she is going to be hit." As we neared the small child, she turned and looked straight at me and smiled. I knew when this child looked at me that she was my first child that was stillborn. When our eyes locked, I seemed to be drawn out of myself by her eyes. At this point, I woke up in my bedroom, but I was up near the ceiing. In the corner of my bedroom, I saw what appeared to be many very small, different colored, bright twinkling angels. I was in this state only about a minute when suddenly I heard a very loud roaring sound and then I was lying on the bed. My body felt very heavy and I could not feel my arms or legs. I saw my husband and tried to speak but couldn't for a few seconds. When I could speak I woke my husband and tried to tell him what I had just experienced, but the words were all trying to come out at once. It was like I couldn't speak fast enough. As I was trying to tell him all of this, I began to get the feeling back in my arms and legs, so I began to shake my arms and legs. Finally, I was able to calm myself down enough to tell my husband what had happened.
I felt my daughter was trying to contact me for some reason, but I do not know why.
What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience? I am not sure. I think I was asleep and dreaming during the first part, but the second part seemed very real.
Was the experience dream like in any way? Yes
Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body? Yes I did not look down at my body. It was dark in the room except for the bright twinkling angels in the corner. I could see enough to know it was my bedroom. MY body felt very very light.
What emotions did you feel during the experience? I felt very calm while I was near the ceiling. I remember only thinking that the angels were beautiful.
Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises? Just the very loud roaring sound as I came back into my body or woke up or whatever happened.
Did you see a light? Yes Only the multi-colored bright angels
Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different? Uncertain Other than feeling very light, I could see the angels.
Did you have any sense of altered space or time? No
Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose? No response I somehow knew or felt that the little girl was my daughter and that she wanted to communicate with me.
Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience? Uncertain Since this time, I have sensed that things were going to happen and they did. But I have felt these things before. Once I had a dream that I saw my 18 year old son in a casket and a few months later when he showed signs of suicide that dream helped me file a warrant against him to have him committed to a hospital for help.
Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience? Yes I feel that it is possible to communicate with those who have died.
Have you shared this experience with others? Yes Just my husband and cousin. They both feel it was just a dream
What emotions did you experience following your experience? I have been very curious as to why this happened, and what it meant.
What was the best and worst part of your experience? The best part was the very light feeling and the worst was the heavy body and numbness afterwards. Also, the fact that I really never got the full message.
