Experience description:

As stated earlier, the one feeling of extreme pain and dread ( now i believe it was when i was close to my death ). The pain was so unbearable and as if a presence was nearby with unkind intent. The pain was just inhuman like no other type of pain from head to toe.

The other was of the ghost like figures i saw in my room surrounding me after i came out of the coma ( i think maybe the meds caused this...even though people i described this to think it is weird, I don't.) not long after i saw figures some i could see through, some not (like solid white). some short, some tall. First it was like they tried to scare me by getting up in my face turning their heads side to side or zooming in on my face quickly. They would be in the room with visitors present. Nobody but me saw them. Always came out around dusk to early morning. First night i was scared.  Didn't tell nurses.

But after a few hours i realized they weren't hurting me physically. I thought it through as an illusion by meds. Closed my eyes and saw nothing. Opened them they were there. Sometimes there would be a room full of them sometimes only a few. But they were in constant motion. Some of their faces were blank. Some had no eyes and a mouth, or no mouth and big empty eyes, or big O eyes and mouths or one eye. All seemed to be different in some little aspect. Never heard voices from them or noises. But they would get into my face and wiggle theirs like they was trying to say something or communicate with me. Oddest thing i ever encountered in this life.

Not long before breakfast they would drift back into the walls and ceilings and through the floors. Third evening as i watched TV. i saw them gathering together at one end of room. my people were there visiting. these things just drifted by and got as close to my face as possible then move on. the last few (2 or 3, not sure now) messed with me only for a couple more hours and in constant motion. Waving at me to come or go, and in motion. I even got the feeling they were behind my bed (even though the head was backed against the wall.) I never saw them go through any walls, floors, etc until just before they left each morning as the sunshine fully took over the room. They appeared from my right around the curtain and through the window and they were almost as transparent as the window at that times.

When i awoke the third night to leak, i noticed them not around. No more other nights thereafter my stay in the hospital. I only wish if they were real i could have heard what they were trying to say to me.

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience:  Yes

Explanation:  ghostly apparitions near dusk to early morning appeared to taunt and tease me. no physical contact. but, showing their selves full bodied and facial expressions. no two faces alike. Stayed for two full nights slowly leaving on third night. Appeared a day or so after coming out of coma and life support. I thought medications were the cause. not sure now.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  No response

What was it about the experience that makes it hard to communicate?  different from above. at one point, whether before coma or coming out of....there was extreme pain..worst i ever felt...hard to describe in speech or words. the most gruesome pain...wondered if this was hell or something worse...while a side feeling of something most gruesome near..

At the time of the experience, was there an associated life threatening event?  Yes

Describe:  went into hospital sick and weak. Last thing i remember was getting into hospital bed. Then a week or more later came out of coma. I guess the doctors told my family i would not last long, maybe gone by morning at one point.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?  oh yes, in the evening before dusk they would arrive. throughout the night i would see them at various stages of wakefulness.  Nurses came in two or three times of the night to check blood pressure and such

Was the experience dream like in any way?  now it seems like it....but as i was then it was so surreal.

Did you experience a separation of consciousness from your body?  Uncertain

What emotions did you feel during the experience?  fright at first, then dread, then acceptance of a sort.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?  no

Did you see a light?  Yes

Describe:  during the pain experience i described in two places earlier there was bright and dim light to no light at all. All with extreme pain it seemed like from head to toe.

Did you meet or see any other beings?  Uncertain

Describe:  no beings i never saw before...more like a cartoon, for three days. More detail above.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?  Yes

Describe:  during the pain experience....it seemed like it lasted forever. no end in sight. During the pain i wondered if this was a form of hell or a twisted heaven.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?  Yes

Describe:  that all religions were of human design and there-for useless for the afterlife (if there is any). Religions of the world further the human ego which feeds on all aspects of emotion, in which the sins of the so-called righteous hurt the true meaning and feeling of the god of all.

Has the experience affected your relationships?  Daily life?  Religious practices etc.?  Career choices?  i once saw my-self as open minded....now i see that i can be closed minded and open minded. Now i have the key to open doors or step back out if i wish, or just throw a brick through the window and climb in.

Have you shared this experience with others?  Yes

Describe:  no.....i made no pretense that what i saw was the true reality. So i always told afterwards that it was the good pills the doctor handed out, which caused my ghostly buddies to show up.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  glad that i was alive and not the opposite there of....

What was the best and worst part of your experience?  the pain.....and the fright the first night.

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?  i want to know what they were trying to say to a live person.....why it couldn't wait until i cross over in the future.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?  Uncertain

      Describe:  watch my sugar intake

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?  No

Did the questions asked and information you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?  Uncertain

Explain:  more I'm sure if i sit and think...try and relive the event....meditate on it...but hey...its over now.
