Experience description:

I was conscious, and in bed with my hand behind my pillow and head.  I went to move my hand and felt it move through the pillow.  I turned over and found myself floating in the air above the floor.  My dog sleeps on the floor on a dog bed  next to my bed and I clearly saw her.  There was a blue light surrounding me and illuminating the room.  I consciously associated the event with an OBE and attempted to maintain it, but found myself drawn back to the physical where I became immediately awake(?).  There seemed to be no real change in conscious state throughout the experience or my awakening in this reality.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           meditative between sleep and wakefulness

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   no

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes

I had no form, or none that I sensed.  I was simply looking out in much the same way I do in a conscious state

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            a bit of fear, a bit of wonder

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           no
