Experience description:

I'm not sure of the exact date but it was in January 1973 I do know it was a Saturday night and I had just finished watching "All in the Family" on television. After the show ended at 8:30pm I turned the television off and climbed up to by bunk for bed (I slept on the top bunk). As soon as I got to the top and was ready to lay down I noticed standing at the foot of my bed an individual (who I believe to be an angel). I then crawled to the end of the bed and sat with my feet hanging over the end. I remember that the angel was very tall at least 8 feet as I can remember looking up to see his face the light from the outside streetlight struck him at about his shoulders. The angel was dressed in a solid white garment.

The first thing that I recalled saying to myself, "I'm dreaming" but then I looked out the window and I could hear and see people talking and walking over to the base bowling alley I could hear and see cars on the street. I then turned back to the angel and asked, "who are you? and how did you get in here?" His reply was, "that's not important, the Lord has some things to show you." He then reached down and took me by the hand and I can remember leaving the room at incredible speed and in the next instance I remember landing feet first in a very large room and as I looked around I could see a throne and on it sat one that I know was God (by the way I never saw his face). He never spoke a word to me but he would point to his left and to his right and the area where he pointed would light up like a movie screen. As the area would illuminate images would scroll by at a speed that was too fast to see with one's natural eye (but I now know that every image was imprinted in my mind). As I was standing there in disbelief it seemed as if God knew my thoughts. This is when he spoke to me and let me know, "so that you will know it's me, your friend ________ that cannot have anymore children will have a baby girl.

In 1976 my friend and her husband gave birth to a baby girl. It was then I looked and saw the sunrise and I awakened laying on my back with my arms lifted to the ceiling tears streaming down my face and I was speaking in a spiritual language that I could not understand. When I finally got myself together I thought, "where have I been, no one will ever believe this." I then noticed that I was laying on top of my covers and the bed had never been turned back. I looked at my clock and it was 3:00am I then realized about 6 and one half hours has passed since I went to bed and again I said, "where have I been?" The last thing I remember thinking before I decided to get up was thinking, "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day" At the time I had no idea that what I said was actually in the Bible until about 7 years later when I was thumbing through the Book of Revelation and I came across that verse in chapter 1 verse 10.
