Experience description:   

Sleepless night.  Warm summer breeze touching my face and body. Began to talk to my spiritual guides. Last thing I remember was being wide awake and asking "where are you and who are you."  "Are you really there". Next thing I knew there were shapes of human figures but there faces were not clear. There was a transparency to them and a light mist that not only surrounded them but went through them. I was not afraid.

Next, a pair of strong, in structure, hands reached out to me. They, to my mind, appeared to be hands of a male. I reached out to the hands but pulled back at first. The hands then touched mine gently on the fingers and I knew in my heart it was okay to take hold. I did.  As real as it is when someone of the human body takes your hands in theirs is the feeling I had when these hands held on to mine. It was real. They squeezed my hands gently but firmly and I in turn squeezed them back. Next thing I knew I was being gently guided and floating to where I did not know or did I care. I was safe.

Soon, I was ,I felt ,in space. There was a blackness at first then suddenly huge clusters of stars and lights bouncing from all directions. Then all these pieces of light seemed to create a funnel of brightness that the hands guided me through.  Immediately passing through this I was floating over the ocean right before complete night comes to the world. I remembered for an instant that I have a fear of deep waters. It was then that the hands that were holding mine suddenly, without missing a beat, swooped me up into their arms and held me close. Whoever this was knew my fear without me saying a word. I felt protected and secure in these arms.

Next, I was suddenly over a huge forest of green trees that took my breath away.  I remember the awe I felt at its greatness. It was spectacular.

Finally, my journey came to an end. The arms that held me gently lowered me to the ground but I don't recall my feet touching a solid ground. Next, the hands that greeted me in the beginning of this incredible flight reached out and again took my hands in theirs. Together and in sync we squeezed each others hands as if saying thank you to each other. My journey was complete.

All I recall after that was I was sitting straight up in my bed feeling so much love all around me. I did not feel alone, afraid or confused. I was blessed with a gift . I just smiled.  The one thing that sticks in my mind everyday since is the touching of the hands when they reached out to take mine. It was real. I will never forget it. Ever.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes

Words cannot express or communicate the feeling of the touch, love, security and confirmation that we are truly not alone in this world. There is so much more. So many different levels of life. I have told my story but am learning that silence may be what is good for now.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           nothing I have ever known

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   no
