Experience description:

When I was about 15, I was pitching baseball and a line drive from a batter struck me between the eyes. I felt no pain and was overhead watching my friends running to assist me. That seemed to do something to my brain. I have had many strange experiences since then. This is one of them.

Much later, I worked for an international oil company and was in Singapore. I just completed 12 hours of work and was tired and hungry. I was about 45 at the time. I went to the hotel dining room but they were not ready to serve yet so I went to the window on the stage to look out at the night over the water and relaxed against the post. Behind me was a piano.

I felt lighter and lighter then heard a piano below me playing. It was Chopins Minute waltz and done very well. As I enjoyed the music I realized that the piano was behind and not below me. As I looked down, I was on the ceiling and the person playing the piano was my twin. I began to recall being a student of Chopin in Paris France and preparing for a concert. While out on an errand, I was accosted and put into the Army. My body ended up as compost in a French field. It seemed the concert was being performed tonight, but by whom?

The finale, Fantasia Impromptu, from which "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows was derived was now being performed and as it faded into the night, I drifted down.

When I looked up, I was seated before the piano and a room full of people were standing and applauding.

A gentleman in a tux (the pianist for the evening) was next to me and commented on how well I performed; as if Frederic had been my teacher. He asked if I wanted to continue but I said I was tired and hungry, then went to my table.

I do not play the piano.
