Experience description:

Over a period of six weeks, my entire body started shaking involuntarily and it culminated in an out of body experience that left me unable to eat, sleep or drink for three months because I was completely connected to an energy much greater than anything we can see, hear, smell or touch here on earth. It lasted about 45 minutes. My eyes were wide open and I could see the room I was in and at the same time, I was completely and utterly enveloped in Unconditional Love, Wisdom and a Knowing beyond all knowing. My body melted away and there was only blissful peace. The entire physical world melted and I was floating in a sea of energy that was filled with the most amazing light. I was filled with overwhelming gratitude In those few moments, I knew that everything was and is exactly the way it is supposed to be and that we all come to earth for only one thing, to give and receive unconditional love and there are as many ways to do that as there are living beings in the universe. When I left the masseuse's office that day, I sat in my car for a few hours before I could figure out how to start the car. I had melted into everything and everyone. There were no more boundaries. That made negotiating in the physical world extremely tricky.

Over the next six months, tears of knowing poured through me as I was initiated into a way of being that was somehow familiar and yet unknown at the same time. I later discovered that I was operating in a non-dualistic place while living in a physical world of dualism. So much happened in the first five years that I will some day have to write a book. For now, I can say that I will never be afraid of dying and that while I might not like some things in this life, in my heart I know that ALL is well. I pray that I may be of service to and through this energy that I choose to call God. I can't wait until I get to go HOME.

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?  Yes     I started seeing a brilliant blue pearl in the upper corner of my vision whenever I was in touch with the very highest thought forms of my being. I saw the world as a sea of energy with different colors vibrating at different speeds and depth around everything that was alive.

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?
Yes     I heard the most incredible, unearthly, perfect music one night in the dream state. It must have been a choir of angels. I couldn't describe it because there are no sounds like it here on earth. When the spirit world communicated with me, it was done without words. It was a telepathic sharing of wisdom and knowing.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience?     Yes     I described some of the gifts I was given earlier. see question #12

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     After @ six months, I saw an 1946 Gary cooper movie on TV, which was strange because I watch very little TV.. In the movie, Gary Cooper is taken to the top of a mountain by a spiritual leader and is left there by himself as some kind of a retreat. time passes and the spiritual leader comes back to get him and looks into his eyes and says, I see you have changed. At that point Gary Cooper launches into a monologue and describes a mystical experience that was similar to mine. I finally had some words. After all, how does one describe an experiential experience of such great magnitude. There were no words in that place of all knowing. Only love. From there, I went to speak to my Rabbi. He was affirming and had to take some time to research mystical experiences from the Torah. But I finally had a few words to begin a further exploration of what happened to me. I was lead to many people and books along the way that were extremely helpful. At first I was cautious as to who I shared this experience with. Over time, I have been asked repeatedly to share my experiences with others who are open to hearing it. It is an incredible privilege to share this with people who are in need.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?    No

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:            Experience was definitely real    It felt more real than anything I have ever felt here on earth. Everything came very gradually back into focus, but I much prefer to be filled with that light.

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you?    All of it was meaningful and significant!! The most significant of my life. Everything here pales in comparison to being in the presence of that magnificent light.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience:            Experience was definitely real    Still the most real of anything that has ever happened to me.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?           Yes     I now know that everything is happening at exactly the right time in exactly the right way. I have a very deep faith and am in constant contact with the God of my understanding.
