At that exact moment, I was pushed down a tunnel and was aware of stone walls as I flew through it at lightening speed and before I knew what had happed: found myself in an intense light. I can remember it hurting my eyes but as I adjusted my vision, was aware I was in cloud. Through this cloud below me I saw a green clifftop and sensed I should fly towards it. As I got nearer I could pick out more detail and noticed there was a person standing below me. I was a bit disorientated at this point but as I landed the figure of a man stood before me. I could not see his face. He was dressed in what I can only describe as a monks habit. It was brown in color with a red rope tied round him. Hid face was covered by a hood. He was resting on a very ornate wooden staff with symbols carved into it. He told me to follow a trek up another hill. This was more inland from the cliff we were standing on with sea opposite it. It seem like it took me a good quarter of an hour to climb the hill but once I reached the top, I could not believe my eyes. 

There was a very large valley below which seemed to stretch for miles. The countryside was the most beautiful I had every seen and the color was absolutely breathtaking. I followed the trek through the valley. There were many animals there and I was totally mesmerized by the scene I was in. Everything in this scene was more intense in color, smell and my senses were heightened to such a degree that the beauty was too much to behold. I was also aware that my vision was extremely acute. My eyes could tune in to the smallest creature in the bark of a tree or flower. And the sounds were also extreme acute. I could here every smallest sound and see every detail in multicolored bliss. 

I followed the trek which lead alongside a river, which ran like glistening silver through the valley but the trek was slowly heading upwards to a mountain of rocks which were huge. I got the the source of this river and saw salmon fighting and jumping up a waterfall which was cascading from the mountain. They were silver with very strong rainbow color as the soured upward of each layer of rock. But by this point my joy was too much. As the salmon were heading up the cliffs the water cascading down, formed into droplets and were turning into pearls as they hit the bottom. 

The next I saw and heard was a whirling sound and colors rotating round very fast and before I knew what had happened, was laying back in my bed still laying on the bed facing the clock which was blurred. Realizing it was because tears were still running down my face and wiping them on my pillow because I could not find the tissue box on my bedside cabinet, I had cleared my eyes enough to see the time. It said 2.10pm. How can this be I thought, in this place I had spent hours walking the through the valley!

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?     No      

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes     The absolute bliss which I came out of the experience. Never forget it - as if yesterday!

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          Uncertain      I was in a state of panic for the future before the experience/loss of my marriage.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           Very intensely aware and awake.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No, more real than in everyday life, more vibrant in color etc.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?              Feeling I was being pulled away from my body, and then flying down the tunnel.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Elated, at peace, a beautiful bliss of pure joy. A knowing that I was at one with my surroundings.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           awareness of hearing minute sounds far away, as well as the closer sounds to me. whirling sounds on leaving this place.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?            Uncertain      The animals, etc and the person met were very healthy looking. Landscaped valleys, Mountain, river/waterfall, cliff top with sea.

Did you see a light?           Yes     Very intense on first flying out of the tunnel into a light/ had to re-focus my eyes before coming out of whiteness and cloud.

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Only the person on the cliff top. Did not recognize him as his face was always covered by a hood. He communicated words which echoed all around me. He stayed on the cliff top.

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? Yes    

At one point, put my fingers in the river and was very cool to the touch which surprised me a little as there was warm, bright sunlight in the sky! Flying was a little strange but soon picked it up. Also was able to use my eyes and ears to expand my eyes to see very close to the smallest of creature. Allso the unusual event of the water falling in the bottom of the waterfall into pearls at the bottom was weird, but wonderful.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No       Did not recognize the person or any relation to scenes from my past! Only the creatures and the scene of nature around me were natural British animals etc.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          No response      Hearing and eyesight very acute and was extremely aware of my surroundings and minute detail to the smallest creatures and that fact of also hearing little creatures from far way from me.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     Was shocked when discovering that only 10 minutes had past when I had seemed to have spent several hours in this place!

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    No response      Seemed to know what all the creatures were thinking, like whispering.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             Yes     Mountain trek finished near the mountain and waterfall.

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Yes     Yes the person told me that I must go back and that it was not my time yet. Was very upsetting, as I didn't want to leave at all! Told him so too!

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes     After this experience, I saw things sometimes months even years before they materialized or events came true, still have this happen now. Also my emotions pick up on the feelings of people , which can be very strong at times - and painful to me if emotions are bad!

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Have never been frightened of death since this event, but was before it!

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       Totally different now, changed my complete life in the way I relate to people around me! A lot more sensitive to peoples needs around me. Also, have longed to regain the experience, but never happened since!

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     Definitely, but wish I didn't get hurt so easily now! But can still pick up emotions up from peoples feelings which is just as strong today.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     Yes, three people, my second wife, My mum and a girlfriend later in life.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  Deep sense of peace and a knowing. Emotion a lot more intense since the experience. Get very hurt easily though with any tension or friction around me.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      The whole experience was intense, beautiful, colorful, and incredibly real especially the main experience and the time on the clock!

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        Have always longed for another like it, but no such luck!
