Experience description:

I was dreaming that I was flying around my townhouse complex and I had stopped to hover over the dumpster that was located in the back of my complex, the dumpster along with the wood covered fence, and surrounding fichus bush and the tree that was next to the dumpster were all on fire. I immediately awoke from my dream and got ready for school, on my way out of the door my father had asked me to take out the trash.. so I grabbed the trash and proceeded to the dumpster, upon throwing the trash into the dumpster the maintenance man had asked me if I had heard what just happened.. I replied "no, what happened?" he told me that the dumpster on the other side of the complex had just caught fire!! I then looked at him as if he was joking and told him about the dream I had just woken up from.. I jumped into my car and drove to the rear of my complex to see that the dumpster was burned and was still emitting smoke.. the steel fence remained but the wood was completely burned off and the shrubbery along with the surrounding tree looked as if they had caught on fire as well!!

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No      

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           I dreamt it and woke up to find out it had really just happened.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   I WAS dreaming.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Uncertain      I felt like it was only my eyes that were flying.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            severe confusion and disbelief once I had seen that the dumpster and its surroundings actually did catch fire, I was running late to school at the time so I was focused on getting to class on time.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           I remember hearing the flames burning but it was mostly visual.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?    No           

Did you see a light?           No      

Did you meet or see any other beings?           No      

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? Yes    

Did you eyewitness an event that you would not have known about had you not been out of body? "I guess u can say that"


Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes     I verified it with my own eyes once the maintenance man had told me about it, I drove to the other side of my townhouse complex and saw that the dumpster and its surroundings had been on fire.. the dumpster was still emitting smoke and the tree and shrubs around it were burned along with the wood that covered the steel fence that enclosed the dumpster. For verification purposes the fire department came and put out the fire, I'm sure that this event was documented and I know that the condo association has this documented.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Uncertain            I only heard the flames and saw the dumpster on fire along with the surrounding bushes and wooden fence.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Uncertain      I was dreaming, in my dream I was flying around my complex, I stopped and hovered over the burning dumpster.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Uncertain            like I said it was a dream.

Did you become aware of future events?       Yes     it was precisely accurate.. it happened while I was dreaming it!!

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?      Uncertain      not sure.. my mother, my mother's mother and her mother have all had the gift of foresight, my mother says I have it too, there have been similar instances like this one but none THIS recent and none too clear to recall. this was the most to the point instance, the other instances I would consider d�j� vu but I could be wrong...

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Uncertain      not really unless I really dwell on it..

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I have never been religious nor have I believed in much.. but this makes me wonder when I think about it.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         No      

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     just a few people.. some don't believe me, some say its crazy, one girl said it was my soul wandering.. I don't know what to make of it.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  I was a little freaked out but I just went on with my life.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      I wouldn't call it a best or a worst anything.. it was just freaky.

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        that's about it.. I mean now that I have put so much thought into it is changing my perspective about life after death, just a little though.
