Experience description:

While sleeping one night, late in the night I was awakened by the presence of a robed figure complete with long hair and sandals, it was the Jesus we are familiar with. I arose from my bed, no words were heard or spoken.  I walked towards him, he was standing on the left side of the bed, 3-4 feet away.  At the moment I stood close to him, I felt love radiating off him. I can not explain the intensity of this feeling of love, warmth, and caring, it was like all the family members you ever cared about and those that cared about you, were all wrapped up in to this one figure.  It felt so warm, I stepped a foot closer to him, and the feeling of love, warmth, and caring radiating from him, multiplied 10 times!  That's all I recall from that experience.  I can not adequately explain how love "radiates" but it did, and it was intense! After that experience, I had to tell others through the years, they all listen with interest as I tell them what I experienced. I have been more caring for other as though that is what we are suppose to become, and am now a regular church attendee. I find myself giving more of my time and money to the church and to charity.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?  Yes     unexplainable, the love intensity and its "radiation" effect was incomprehensible, could not possibly be duplicated by a human

a Jesus figure, no words spoken but I knew he wanted me to feel love, and I did, I did not one could "feel" love, but it is possible, and real.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being either does (or does not) exist?   Yes   Jesus is Gods son, therefore if I really did see Jesus, then I feel I also was in the presence of God.

What occurred during your experience included:   Content that was entirely consistent with the beliefs you had at the time of your experience   it was and is consistent with my beliefs on Christianity

How accurately do you remember the experience in comparison to other life events that occurred around the time of the experience?   I remember the experience as accurately as other life events that occurred around the time of the experience   I hope everybody gets to feel what I felt that night with this experience, it is beyond description!

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:   I have learned more to accept others as they are, and that God is love.

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?   Yes   I believe more now than before

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?   A type of intense love was revealed to me.  It was so intense it supersedes anything that a human could provide.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?   Yes   I have at times experienced unusual things, (1) three weeks before 9-11 I dreamed of two planes crashing in the forest and catching on fire. (2) at my current residence, a bell hanging on a ribbon jingled and rang when no one was near it ( though I did not see it, I only heard it) (2) also at my current residence my shop has a tray full of pull out drawers for screws, small bolts, nuts, one morning I went into my shop and two drawers that were empty were pulled half way out, so I closed them and went outside, a few minutes later I went back in the shop, and they were pulled half way out again. I do not know what it is, but I keep looking for it to happen again.....

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes  4-5 years, they marveled at my testimony

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   Uncertain   While living with my mom back 2000, she had Alzheimer's, and was dying but I did not know it , she was frail. I lived in the adjoining bedroom, I guided her to bed and covered her up, and went to my room, suddenly a loud bang or thud was herd against the adjoining wall where her bed was. I went in there, thinking she had fallen, she had not fallen and nothing fell on the floor like a lamp or table or book, she had passed away at that moment. What caused the bang or thud? She was frail and weak, less than 60 pounds.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   it was real, I've never had a dream like that nor sense than that was similar, and no love has ever or since been shown to me in that fashion or intensity.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   The love shown, coincides with biblical belief and my own personal beliefs.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Yes   more caring and loving

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?   Yes   attend and more active in church

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?   No   but I am still waiting for another similar experience
