KC A's Experience

Experience description:   

It occurred  in 1986 when I was in bed dreaming, can’t remember what about. Then the dream changed to reality, so vivid I can remember it as if it was yesterday. I followed some mourners into the local church and  floated up the isle. I was now above the Vicar, and could see the service pamphlet in his hand. There were a lot of people there, and in came a coffin being carried by six pall bearers, they placed the coffin on trestles at the front right, from the vicars perspective.  I noticed my Mother Father, and Brother sitting on the front pew (right side as viewed from the alter).  It the all kicks of by the vicar saying a few words then they sang “O Valiant Be”, Now I don’t know the words yet I know enough to know, they were right. I was still unaware of who was dead, wasn’t me I’m dreaming it!!, but it was so real, as if I was actually there. Then I go through the roof and everything goes black, I mean the blackest black you have ever seen. “This is a weird dream?”

A pinpoint of light starts to grow, just like coming out of a tunnel, and I am now in the brightest white light you have ever seen but it does not dazzle. So peaceful, utopia, utter bliss, nothing matters any more. I have never felt peace and love like it, words can not describe this peace! Then a man comes up to me, now at that time I was an atheist and I didn’t know him. He said to me “ARE YOU COMING WITH ME” I say “YOU WHAT” and at that instant I’m back in bed and take a great gasp of air. I breath it out and there is so much carbon dioxide in it, it makes my eyes water, just like when drinking beer and you burp through your nose. My whole body is tingling, every cell is tingling and my heart is waking away like a sledge hammer. I get up next morning and go into the garden and all the colors are so vivid. Well I can tell you that dream was so weird and I didn’t tell anyone for about two years.

This is the first time I have written about it in 32 years. The next time I  will say “YES YES where are we going”? and say bye bye to this miserable world, but to date it has not reoccurred .

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes     The peace I felt can not be described

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Puzzled who had died?

Absolute peace

Did you pass into or through a tunnel or enclosure?          Yes     from the absolute blackness the came a pinpoint of light that expanded to fill my vision with the brightest white you could never have seen.

            At the time I did not know who had died and it was only after that I have

realized it was the future that could have been if I had answered yes
