Katelyn B's Experience |
Experience description:
I have had hundreds of OBE's. The first one I can remember happened when I was 18 years old. I came home from a long summer day outdoors. I was very tired. As I started to fall asleep, I heard a very loud roaring or buzzing sound. Then I could feel myself floating up away from where I was laying. I was very frightened by the feeling and woke myself up several times, but I kept hearing the sound again and was pulled out of my body each time against my will. This is the usual way the OBE's happen with me. They occur every 2 or 3 months. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
Now I recognize the very distinctive buzzing sound and know an OBE is about to occur. Usually it's my legs and lower body which is pulled up from where I'm laying. I am quite aware of what is happening and at times am embarrassed because my body seems to become exposed and I hope no one walks in the room and sees me floating around. I usually try to fight off the experience because it scares me.
Sometimes there are beings at my feet pulling at them. I usually tell them to go away and they usually do.
Occasionally I have felt something in bed with me or standing over me pulling at me or shaking me. These beings are quite violent sometimes. A number of times-perhaps about 10 times during my life-after one of these violent encounters I have woken up with 3 long scratches on my back like from the nails of an animal in a place behind my shoulder blade where I can't reach. No one else could have made these scratches and I'm usually laying on my back when they occurred.
A few times I have found myself walking around or standing in the room I'm in, but realize it's an OBE I'm having when things just don't look right. For example, once the TV was on when I was asleep and I sat up and kept trying to turn it off with the remote, but the remote wouldn't work and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the remote. Then I realized that everything looked odd and I recognized I was having an OBE and forced myself to wake up. Once I was standing in the room looking at a clock that was on the wall, but the room looked weird, but I noted the time on the clock. Again I realized it was an OBE, woke myself up and it was the time I had seen on the clock which I couldn't have seen from where I had been laying.
Sometimes I find myself flying over towns and over building and fields. These are the OBE's I really like. At times I've found myself in other houses and strange places. Sometimes I've seen a road or house and later when traveling in a place I've never been before, find the very place I saw.
A couple times I've spoken to ghosts of dead relatives who have given me visions of future events. In 1996 my deceased father appeared to me through a wall in a ball of blue light and told me "I'm sorry I can't be with you at this most important time in your life. I'd like to give you a hug. It was time for me to go". And then he was gone back through the wall in the light. Then, in the same vision, I saw me in a hospital bed and I was looking at the floor next to the bed and I saw my son and a man I did not know sitting on the floor looking up as if in awe because they too, saw the ball of blue light. This indeed began a VERY important time in my life.
My house burned down and I had to rebuild it in 1999, I met my current husband (the man from the vision in the hospital room) in 1997 a year to the day later from the vision. I had a disabling back injury in 1999. My mother had a stroke in January 2000 and I saved her life and then had to take care of her until her death (the hospital room from the vision was identical to the emergency room where my mother was taken and where she miraculously came back from the dead), Yes, the doctor said she had no hope of recovery, an artery was blocked in her brain and I should make arrangements. She looked gray and near death. Then suddenly color came back to her face and she looked perfectly well and ageless for a few moments, like a light came over her. She seemed perfectly healthy for a brief moment and smiled and could talk and there seemed to be a glow around her. I nor the doctor had ever seen anything like it. We were both in awe. Nothing medical brought her back. Then after a few moments, the affects of the stroke came over her and she never really recovered till she died 3 years later.
I have had many more experiences but just too many to list at this time.
