Experience description:

After reading the book "Three Magic Words" by U.S. Anderson, I did as the book suggested and meditated on a daily basis following the guided meditations in the book. After about a month of meditating, one morning as I was laying in bed about to get up I was suddenly found myself in a soft light. I felt that I was in the light, that the light was pure love. The feeling of total love is impossible to explain, it was as though the light was God, and that I was as one with the light. I remember being told something very profound yet very simple. Like that was the answer to everything. It was not told to me by a voice, rather by telepathy. However after leaving the light and returning to my body I could not remember what I was told.

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?     No      

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes     The feeling of overwhelming love. Plus the light.

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No      

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           Totally conscious and alert.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes     My consciousness was in the light.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Total love and peace. But much heightened from normal experience.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          No       Did you have any sense of altered space or time?          Yes     I am uncertain how long I was in the light. Best guess three to fifteen minutes.

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       No       Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   No      

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Stronger belief in an afterlife and less afraid of dying.
