Experience description  UFO 2/18/16:

My friend and I had left another friend's apartment, and we were heading back to his place. When we arrived to his home, we parked slightly on the street and slightly in his yard. The passenger side was closest to the house. We were talking, sharing laughs, and getting out of the car. By the time my friend had made it around from the driver's side, he was standing by the passenger side headlight. All of a sudden, we both stopped moving and looked up at the sky. There was this opaque looking object seeming to hover and float through the sky. It appeared round in shape, circular, but I could tell that it was definitely an object, and definitely moving. I remember observing this for several seconds. Without a word being said, my friend and I both looked at each other as if to say, "Are you seeing what I am seeing?" With that mutual acknowledgement that the object was visible to us both, we turned around and looked back at the object. There, we were able to watch the object fly along until it floated too far to see. It never changed direction or glowed, and there were not lights visible. We both know that we had witnessed the same event. After we could no longer see it, we compared stories, and they have always remained the same telling.

Experience description  Meditation 2746:

Around the age of 13 or 14, I began to get really interested in the practice of daily reflection and meditation.  I was always sort of an introverted child, with very leadership-like and extroverted qualities.  Even now, I am one who says that I am always caught between diametrically opposing forces.  Socially, though I was introverted at school.  Around the adolescence age, I began to open up into a more socially extroverted person and was able to balance my introverted needs through the time I spent alone.  This all began around the summer of 2001.  Ever since the, I have spent at least 3-4 hours each night alone with my thoughts.  I would do things such as train my eyesight are night vision, noticing fluctuating in lighting and shadowing and also how to differentiate between styles of walking, shoes, surfaces etc.  By the time of this experience, I had been doing this practice for approximately 4 years.  I had always been gay (or bisexual) my entire life.  I remember having a kindergarten girlfriend.  I remember having my kindergarten boyfriend as well. MY first experiences sexually, were with men.  Yet, I lived in a the South and was raised in a Moderately Conservative Christian lifestyle.  I had been dealing with a lot of personal issues with this as a child and even now.  The school year before this experience, I had been outed by one of my best friends, to the group of closest and best friends from our choir. This was especially painful because it forced an entire group of teenagers to deal with a subject that was still largely taboo and uneasy.  This spawned my first major bought of depression.  I stopped eating in Oct. 2004 and would not eat a single bite to eat until New Year's Day 2005.  It is important for that background.  This caused major ripples in my religious and spiritual beliefs, one that would culminate in the coming experience. I spent the Spring of 2005 healing and building my life as an out person.

I have always done this meditation at night. I was born at 1029 PM.  Nighttime is where I chose to do my meditation.  I have always been attracted to wind; it has all of my life been my favorite condition of the weather.  I am an Air Spirit. I draw identity and power from the Air element.

My Experience takes place on a particularly windy night.  I had been standing on the front porch of my house meditating for several hours.  I remember being very calm and relaxed. I was especially aware of the wind and how has I was standing still, it was enveloping my in its movement.  I remember becoming more and more aware of the wind.  There was the initial acknowledgement of the wind passing over my body, touching my hairs, over my skin.  I then began to think of the wind as a physical affect of the exchange of energies and forces.  In reality, the find was never touching my skin, but I instead began to envision it as the sensation of our (the wind and myself) individual energies colliding.  I began to not only feel, but I could sense and see the point of collision.  The sort of meeting that formed an encapsulating aura around me.  This was white, milky white.  I remember sensing it around my arms and body.  The deeper I drifted into this experience, the more I felt it, the stronger it became.  I remember thinking how calming and secure it felt to interact with the freedom of the wind.  Just as I began to slip into a completely unconscious state, is when this experience happened.  I cannot say that I did not completely go unconscious.

The wind was at its most gusty, yet the strength was not overwhelming and was consistent.  In one moment, my physical body and what I think is a representation of my spirit/soul separated.  The wind was blowing from my left to my right.  I remember slipping into sync with the wind and the milky white aura that was surrounding suddenly began to lift out of my body.  It rose above, to the right and slightly behind, yet within my peripheral vision. It looked just like my physical body. this energy I could tell was looking down on me, but my physical body did not turn to look at it. However, I am aware that they, physical and spiritual, entities were aware of each other.  The most intriguing part about this experience, was that I have very clear vivid and lucid connections to three entities: my physical self, my spiritual essence form, and third  force that saw it taking place.  The third force witnessed everything from behind me.  Essentially, I was two people having a conversation and an eavesdropper all in one.  As soon as I became aware of myself as the third, observing energy, the white essence dissipated continuing upward and to my right, and just blew away with the wind, and I came back to.  I was immediately aware of everything that had just taken place.

Any associated medications or substances with the potential to affect the experience?     No

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? No

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          Yes     This happened the summer after my senior year in high school.  In the very beginning of that school year, 2004-2005, I was outed and outcast when my friend read my journal and told everyone, including the person it concerned, about my first real gay crush.  I stopped eating for three months.  I had a close family member also die during this period.  Sometime in the Spring of 2005, things began to change, and by the summer, I had this experience.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           I was completely alert throughout. I never felt like I did not know what was going on.

Was the experience dream like in any way?   Yes it was.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes     It was formed as if in the image of my physical body, yet lacking legs. I remember defined arms, head, face, torso, but the bottom represented that classic idea of what a ghost looks like...

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            happy, elated, calm, peaceful, at one with nature, attuned, fortunate

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           the only external force I was aware of was the wind.

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?    No response

Did you see a light?           Yes     the spirit essence was completely white and glowing in the darkness of night and city lights

Did you meet or see any other beings?                  the essence that lifted from me was there, and I feel like without my physical head or eyes turning, that we made eye contact.  That was also the moment that everything went away.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Yes     MY hearing was not aware of anything else. my mouth was closed. the smell of the night were the same. I remember that I did not lose conscious vision either.  My physical body was looking straight ahead and just remembers seeing the neighborhood as it is. I remember hearing a sucking sounds as things came to.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     time did seem to slow down. Again, while I understand this must have lasted for a brief moment, the time it took for the essence to rise out of me look at me, etc, etc was real. I do remember that the essence was not slow forming like the initial aura, rather it seems to have just come out all at once.  But everything seemed to happen in "real time" when the experience ended.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?          just that I was incarnate as 3 in 1

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Uncertain      I feel like the moment I became too aware of my separation is when it came back together.  It was almost as if I tried to speak directly and communicate is when it came back to my body.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         No response            I have sense had another out of body experience.  I have a crucial thing with time.  One of the things I failed to mention was another part of my meditation was to teach myself the difference between was 1, 2, 3, and 5 minutes feels like. Since, then I do believe time and I have joined in some sort of function...  I have seen 1234 PM and AM each time it happens (at least twice, I'll go into greater detail if I get an interview) since 2009.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     I know the experience was real and happen in this reality.  This has made me view my meditation and reflection, and especially, my overall spirituality in brand new ways.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I think it changed me. I was going to Ivy League colleges out of state for Law or something. I chose music instead, now I am on my way to becoming an Opera Singer.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Uncertain      I think the addition of such an experience to your life summation would broaden the depth of any human experience.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     They were intrigued. I have a very special group of friends that believes in the value of meditation and conscious.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      the best part was the feeling of my the essence lifting above me. The worst part was that it ended before I could have a "real" interaction.

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         Yes     One morning, in 2009, I became conscious before my physical body woke up. I can sometimes get the aura again not only in wind, but in heat as well.
