OBERF HIT #1 ON GOOGLE AND YAHOO SEARCH ENGINES 3/8/03!

Up until now, the primary focus of study has been the near death experience (NDE).  Then the after death communication website started flourishing.  (www.adcrf.org).  There is clearly something happening and people want to share their experiences.  We postulate that this something is the interconnectedness of all life.  There exists a living matrix that unites all of us.  Therefore, it is not surprising that all experiences involving various stages of human consciousness are amazingly similar.  There are many experiences submitted the NDERF web that do not officially fall into the NDE category.  These are potent and inspirational stories.  As such, they need to be shared with the world.  This website will be devoted to exploring the spectrum of consciousness that falls outside of the NDE and ADC categories.

Spiritual Spectrum Overview, In order to fully understand what an out of body experience (OBE) is, it must be understood as one of many related spiritual spectrum phenomena.  An OBE can be defined as an experience in which a person seems to perceive the world from a location outside the physical body.[1] In this writing, I will look at the history of OBE and research findings on near death experiences (NDEs), the most extreme of OBEs.  An OBE is also compared and contrasted with dreams, lucid dreams, astral projection, and autoscopy. 4/21/02	Review of New Swiss Study on OBEs, by Jody 9/25/02 The study was published in the British journal Nature on 9/19/02.  Several media articles were published based upon this study.  This article takes a look at: 1) the study, 2) the media coverage, and 3) critical discussion of both, the study and the media.
Healing and Paranormal Gifts: Survey Results Between NDErs and non-NDErs, by Jody 12/23/02  First of all I'd like to thank everyone who participated in this HUGE study.  We had 124 NDErs and 75 non-NDErs who participated in the survey. Without your help, we would never have such startling results to report on! The healing questions pertained to the meaning of healing, whether the participant had experienced any emotional or healing gifts and whether the timing of these gifts was before or after their NDE or other paranormal experience.  They were also asked if they had healed anyone, and if so to explain or give examples.  Past studies are reviewed.  Present tension between medicine and alternative healing is explored.  The main finding of this study is that healing and evidentiality of alternative healing depends on how a person views "healing."  Most of the time the way a person views healing is part of a larger belief system rather than a compartmentalized body of knowledge about the physical body.

It is breathing. With every breath, all that exists goes into the light and comes back out of the light. The light is everything. The light is all that is. There is no time in the light. Everything that happens is happening at the same time. There is no space in the light. All that is, all that was, all that ever will be is there. But is isn't there. It is here. Everyone is a point of light in this ocean of light. I see everyone, everyone sees me. What we know, what we feel, our memories, each event, is all in the light. We are all together in this ocean of light that is breathing. I open my eyes. I am still here in this ocean of light. Deep breath. Ah Ha.

SOBE  Robert K's Experience 8/12/04  This knowledge was not learned.  It was too immediate for that to be true.  It felt like (and had to be) remembered.  As if a wall of denial was lifted.  I felt very much that we must all have this knowledge,  but we are either keeping it from ourselves, so as enjoy "life's little play", or we forget it when we are born.  But the "Universal order" was made very clear to me. We are beings of light and energy that live an eternity.  Our existence is very pleasant and not limited at all. In our place, we have eliminated pain. But to do that, we had to give up pleasure.  We have no sorrow but we also have no happiness. 
After his OBE, he brought back a lot of universal knowledge.

SOBE  Dale J's Experience 8/12/04 WHILE I WAS STANDING AT ATTENTION I SUDDENLY WALKED OUT OF MY BODY, MOVED PASSED THE CADRE THAT HAD US STANDING AT ATTENTION.  HE PAID ME NO MIND AS HE COULD NOT SEE ME. BUT I COULD SEE EVERYTHING AROUND ME. I FELT A GREAT PEACE.  I COULD  SEE A BRIGHT LIGHT WHICH I WANTED TO GO TO BUT WAS TOLD BY A VOICE THAT I HAD TO GO BACK BECAUSE THEN WAS NOT MY TIME. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT FORM I HAD TAKEN BUT I KNOW IT WAS BRIGHT WHITE, I DID NOT WANT TO GO BACK BUT I WAS COMPELLED TO DO SO.
A SOBE very much like the OBE component of the near death experience.

SOBE Heather's Experience 8/12/04  I still wanted to have an OBE so I laid there trying to put my body to sleep and I felt pressure on top of me. I opened my eyes but could feel my eyes weren't open as I looked down at myself. I was frightened yet knew somehow that I would only be able to prove it if I did something in my state. I placed my hand on my stomach and my throat and felt as if my body was split. I could open my real eyes if I wanted, yet felt I could stay like I was as well. My closet doors were mirrors (for real) and I glanced at them.

OBE CS's Experiences 8/12/04 After a minute, he said that in our heads, we should dance right up through the top of our heads.  At that point, I felt that I was a small, bright light dancing in the air over my head.  I felt freer than I had ever felt and continued to dance outside of my head. I was ecstatic.   Finally he called us back to our bodies.  I continued to feel light and very happy and free for about an hour after the experience.

NDE-Like  Jonathan M's Experience 8/12/04  I was feeling like I was leaving my body, yet not losing consciousness. Suddenly I was seeing my life in brief flashes. Then I was standing in my friend Randy's kitchen watching his mother in tears as she talked to my parents on the phone. She felt totally responsible for my death and was grief-stricken. I could hear her say how sorry she was, that if only she would have been watching or had seen me go under it wouldn't have happened. She was crying much and I felt  horrible for her. I suddenly realized I had to live and didn't want to do that to her. 
Near drowning incident where he experienced something similar to a life review and a fast-forward.

STE Rebecca R's Experience 7/27/04 Soon, I was ,I felt ,in space. There was a blackness at first then suddenly huge clusters of stars and lights bouncing from all directions. Then all these pieces of light seemed to create a funnel of brightness that the hands guided me through.  Immediately passing through this I was floating over the ocean right before complete night comes to the world. I remembered for an instant that I have a fear of deep waters. It was then that the hands that were holding mine suddenly, without missing a beat, swooped me up into their arms and held me close. Whoever this was knew my fear without me saying a word. I felt protected and secure in these arms.

SOBE MC's Experience 7/27/04  I then, felt my self rise up from the waist up... I was sitting straight up.  I was very light and then realized the other part of "me" was laying down listening to the race on the TV.  THEN, I felt a male energy walk along the side of my couch and sit down next to me.  I felt my right hand begin to rub his right shoulder.  I could hear my thoughts ask, "is this Chris?".  Chris was a guy I was working with at the time.  I heard no response. 
This seems to be a cross-over between dreams and OBE.

STE Alan Z's Experience 7/27/04One night I dreamt I was in a dark, primitive room made of mud walls.  Around the perimeter of the room were shadowy people, including myself.  Suddenly, I was in the center of the room looking back toward where I'd been standing along the wall.  In my place was now a glowing woman in colorful flowing robes.  Then, I saw a bright white light in the shape of a cross shining on floor in front of me from a skylight above.  I looked up into this impossibly bright white light and the dream cracked open with a highly dramatic surge of power going up my spine.  Suddenly, my vision changed and I saw the face of Jesus and a voice say "I am Jesus".  Then, my face was transposed onto Jesus' face and I saw my own cracking into pieces.  The vision left and I was left weeping in my bed, very frightened by the power of the experience.

SOBE Jessica's Experience 7/27/04  Feeling paralyzed, I started to panic and forced myself to call out for my roommate so he can wake me up.  All the while, I was aware of my physical body laying down, my OOBE spirit body, and my astral perception viewing from the right upper corner of the room-all at the same time.  My spirit body was sitting up on/through my physical body on the couch. With my spirit body's eyes wide open, I saw my roommate walking from his room towards me.  As he woke me up, I intensely felt the last impression of my spirit body's eyes wide open seeing all this in astonishment. What was most amazing was my conscious awareness from all 3 perceptions. 
Fascinating simultaneous awareness of 3 states of consciousness.

OTHER Jeffrey F's Experience 7/27/04 With seemingly no strength left, I dragged myself onto the fold away bed in the living room and fell face up on it motionless.  Just then, a beautiful place opened though the ceiling just like an ancient scroll opening with a living image of a beautiful green environment in it instead of script and I stepped though it into this place.  I ascended a steep ridge effortlessly and all my senses were acutely functioning better than ever before.  There were young hardwoods on the way up the ridge but at the top was a magnificent, spruce/fir/pine forest which seemed to have been given the utmost care.  In front of me was a gorge and on the opposite side a great and wide waterfall which made yet a gentle wisp of sound because of the straightness of the gorge.
There are many elements of STEs here, but there is also a lot about philosophy learned from all his experiences.

SOBE  PS's Experience 7/27/04  I left my house and was floating above the highway, going toward the beaches, ended up at Drum Street.  I knew no one at the beach, and had never been to Drum St.  I floated into a house after seeing a white Ford Escort with blue pin striping outside.  Upon going inside, I saw my friend sitting in an easy chair. He was smiling a "fake" smile, it seemed, and his girlfriend and someone else I didn't know (older man) was there. I got right in his face and looked at him and he seemed to smile. He was okay... we didn't talk.  I saw he was wearing new white tennis shoes, a red polo shirt, and new blue jeans.  After seeing he was okay, I left.

SOBE  Terry S's Experience 7/27/04 in the hospital to correct a broken nose under general anesthesia. next thing i knew i was standing beside myself on the operating table watching a tube being put down my throat and my head being lifted back. i could see everyone standing around the operating table and could not understand why they could not see me. i looked at myself on the table, the next thing i was being taken to a ward where i heard the nurse saying he's coming round now. they were not going to let me go from the hospital explaining that i was too unwell.

SOBE Brianna H's Experience 7/27/04 i was very aware of everything around me i could hear the radio playing. when i went into this strange feeling as if i was paralyzed. Soon i felt something leave my body my eyes and legs started to twitch. I then found myself at a friends house. i moved to a table beside her bed, opened the drawer then moved to the bookshelf. i accidentally knocked over the deodorant and I FELT IT! i then turned to the bed and saw her painting her toe nails she looked startled.

OTHER  Helen N's Experience 7/27/04  Of this experience I can only remember I seemed to be floating/flying in a dark void.  There seemed nothing around me, as I was going 'up'.  I seemed to be wearing a long white gown.  I can remember my long hair whipping around my face as I 'saw' myself being propelled higher into the vast nothingness.  The next thing I seem to remember hearing my voice crying: "I want my world back; I want my world back!" 
These two experiences are hard to classify.  There are elements of a dream, a possible SOBE, and even a possible NDE.
