EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

I had contracted Falciparum Malaria and was running high fever for few days. That particular night I did not have fever but was feeling very weak and had intense throbbing headache. When I went to bed, with my wife Krutika by my side and daughter Tarjani beside her, I was not able to fall asleep. It must be half an hour past midnight, when I suddenly heard a peculiar humming sound, as if a swarm of honeybees had surrounded me was making that sound directly in my ears. I was awake, my eyes were open. My wife and child were asleep. The sound gradually became louder and louder. Suddenly everything stopped. I felt that I was suspended in the air near the ceiling. I could see clearly my body lying on the bed below. I was surprised and a little bit afraid too as I became aware that I was out of my body. Every sound of the road passing by and the party plot near to my residence fell silent. It was, as if a totally silent area I was put in. I thought, I was dead. But that fear did not last longer. I started enjoying my state that I could fly in the air and hover on from the ceiling. Gradually a feeling of great peace prevailed. I became calm. I did not have that intense headache any more. Even though, the lights were switched off, I could see everything in the room. The whole room was flooded with light, but the source of that light could not be seen. I was thinking a thousand things simultaneously as if I was a computer CPU. I am not sure how long I remained in that suspended position. I was enjoying the condition I was in. I thought, I will have to do a long journey thereof. But suddenly the buzzing sound of honeybees was heard once again. Its intensity became suddenly louder and instantly I felt I was in my body. The room was flooded in the same darkness that was there before my experience and I could not see anything. But, my headache was no more. From that day on-wards, my fever disappeared.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?    Fully conscious

            Was the experience dream like in any way?           No

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?         Yes    I was feather weight, hovering over my body from near the ceiling. I was able to see my physical body lying below with vivid details of everything in the room.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?           Initially it was a bit frightening. Later on, I became very calm. Thousands of thoughts ran through my mind.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           Yes. A loud humming sound or buzzing sound. As if a swarm of honey-bees was circling around my head!

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?           Yes    I was very well aware that I was in my bedroom.

Did you see a light?         Yes    The lights in my bedrooms were switched off. But when I hovered from ceiling, I could see every minute detail of the room. I could see the room was flooded with the light, but I could not find the source of light.

Did you meet or see any other beings?         No     

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state?    No     

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?        No     

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?  No      Did you have any sense of altered space or time?    No     

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?           No     

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?               No     

Did you become aware of future events?      No     

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?     Uncertain           When I heard the buzzing sounds of bees again, I felt that I will be back in my body and suddenly I was there in my own body.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?        Uncertain     I have become more emotional, god loving person.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?         Yes    As I could see my physical body away from me, I felt as if to be in the body is not the only existence, there is some other dimension also, where you or anyone lives as spirit.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?           My fever disappeared, I became a bit more emotional. Now I am not able to see anyone suffering. I start crying at others illness, injuries of misfortunes. I am not able to talk about God (from any beliefs)as I start crying immediately. Uttering his name also makes me emotional and weepy. I help people in need without asking anything (no scrutiny). In short I have started loving whole world.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience? Yes    I started loving everyone. For me now, all religions are same. No difference in different Gods.

Have you shared this experience with others?           Yes    Not sure. I have even sent this to Near Death Experience organization.

What emotions did you experience following your experience? Felt like crying constantly.

What was the best and worst part of your experience? Barring initial fear, It was a good experience.

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?      I started loving everyone. For me now, all religions are same. No difference in different Gods.
