Experience description:

Pneumonia as baby; when 3 my Godmother brought me to her knees and hugged me. My thought was, "Ah, I am finally back home.  I am home again."  When I was about 2. I remember lying in our parlor and looking up at the sky and discussing with myself the concept of everlasting.  I know I was that age because my head was on the rug which was about 15 inches from the wall, my buttock was against the wall with my legs up the wall under a window.  A few clouds in the sky, and I wondered how heaven could be everlasting.  It seemed that there should be an end, no there is no end.  That is strange.

In my youth I knew things about the future, and I did not think that was different from anyone's thinking.

While in the Navy during WWII, I knew things, and felt the love of God so strongly that I shed tears.

Now I go through Agonizing Ecstasy as God reveals theologies to me. That is why I got the pieces of paper showing that I have a Master Of Theological Studies and another in Religious Ed.

I also had an OBE when Jesus spoke to me. I was doing a retreat with the Jesuits at Grand Coteau and in the chapel for my private meeting with God. Then I saw just Jesus and Mary, and I was above them, as Jesus asked me to give myself completely to him. He put me through an experience in which I was going to a light.

At the time of your experience was there an associated life-threatening event?   Yes   As a baby I had pneumonia, and my mother said I had died or nearly died.

Was the experience difficult to express in words?....Yes....The concepts are so different from earthly things that words cannot explain. We'd need new words.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?....Normal consciousness and alertness    All early experiences were mild.  The experience with Jesus was normal in feeling, except when i was going toward the light. That was LOVING, stronger and  stronger as I advanced toward the light. I did not think anything of it, such as OBE, until I read about that concept.....

Please compare your vision during the experience to your everyday vision that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.    I was in love, and all things were more loving. I was already naive, and became more so. I trusted everyone.

Please compare your hearing during the experience to your everyday hearing that you had immediately prior to the time of the experience.    I don't notice any difference in hearing.

Did you see or hear any earthly events that were occurring during a time that your consciousness / awareness was apart from your physical / earthly body?    No   When I am in agonizing ecstasy I am aware of what is going on in my presence.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?....LOVE

Did you pass into or through a tunnel?....No....

Did you see an unearthly light?....Yes....

Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence, or hear an unidentifiable voice?....I encountered a definite being, or a voice clearly of mystical or unearthly origin

Did you encounter or become aware of any deceased (or alive) beings?....No

Did you become aware of past events in your life during your experience?....No....

Did you seem to enter some other, unearthly world?....No....

Did time seem to speed up or slow down?....No....

Did you suddenly seem to understand everything?....No....

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?....No....

Did you come to a border or point of no return?....No....

Did scenes from the future come to you?....Scenes from my personal future....They are too numerous to write here, I have a spiritual journal of more than 600 pages which contains futuristic scenes and understandings.

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?....Yes....As a toddler I knew God was infinite, and heaven lasted forever.

Discuss any changes that might have occurred in your life after your experience:....Large changes in my life....A whole lifetime.....

Did you have any changes in your values or beliefs after the experience that occurred as a result of the experience?    Yes     I knew God, and eternity.

Do you have any psychic, non-ordinary or other special gifts after your experience that you did not have before the experience?....Yes     ESP, knowledge of other's mental problems, often knowledge who will win at games.

I've had more than 80 prophecies come true.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes   I have shared all with my family and best friends, and all are happy for the gifts God gave me, because they share the gifts with me.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?....No

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:....Experience was definitely real    I was too young and innocent to know what happened, but as a mature man with education I have realize much.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:....Experience was definitely real....I am grateful to God for the experiences, as I now know God, and about God. As a theologian I am happy to know God, and at all times cannot help but tell others about God and Heaven.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?....Uncertain....Too young during the initial experience to know.

Have your religious beliefs/spiritual practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?....Uncertain    Too young

At any time in your life, has anything ever reproduced any part of the experience?....Yes    Oh, Lord, the times are too numerous to relate now.

Did the questions asked and information that you provided accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?    Yes    I took classes in creating surveys, and this one is a good one.

Are there one or several parts of your experience that are especially meaningful or significant to you?     The early experiences are very meaningful, especially the LOVE I felt when I was in my Godmother's hug.  That a toddler could be wondering about eternity is odd to me, yet not odd, because I realize now that I had experienced God.

Is there anything else that you would like to add about your experience?....Our history helps to determine our thought and behavior, and I now know that my infant experiences were real, and have affected my whole life.
