Experience description:

I was a high-schooler, still living in my parents' house. It was summer afternoon and I felt tired and was lying on a cough in the TV room. I heard my mum making noise in the kitchen. I don't know if I fell asleep but suddenly I noticed I was lying in the ceiling, close to the wall. I was in a fetal position, my legs bent and I kept my eyes shut. I realized my body is under me and I felt great fear to look down and I didn't. I saw the wooden wall in front of me and knew I was there, up in the ceiling. I remember it lasted for a few seconds and then I started to slowly com down. I felt like I was coming "trough clouds," I heard loud hissing sound, like the motors in an aero plane or something. When I was down, I still felt frightened and tried to shout. Nothing came from my mouth and I tried to call every family member by name. Eventually I could make a small noise from my mouth. I felt like paralyzed. I got up, confused, and went to the kitchen, where my mum had a guest. I had to tell her what happened and I was very amazed she didn't blink an eye, but just said "that can happen to sensitive people". The whole situation felt absurd as I thought she would have reacted differently, like not believing me, and in front of her friend.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      I felt frightened when it happened but afterwards I felt quite okay with it as I could witness myself that these things can happen. I've never kept it as a result of too vivid imagination, I know what I experienced.

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        Maybe couple of times after this, when lying on my bed before falling asleep, I have started to feel exceptionally "light". Kind of knowing that if I don't grab the bed sides, I'd rise up. I guess I still have some frightened feelings towards this phenomenon so I have moved my body and grabbed the bed sides with my hands and the light feeling has gone away.
