Experience description:

Meeting my Spirit Guide during an OBE 28th of June 2007

This following experience is about an OBE I experienced last night, I retired fairly early than normal and made myself comfortable. I then put on my MP3 player and put the ear phones on my ears, got real comfy and felt relaxed. I was listening to Dick Sutphens "Vibrational lift out" track on how to have OBE and it wasn't long before I slipped into the REM or hypnogogic period.

Slowly I drifted away into twilight land and the next thing I came alert to the onset of vibrations. The first set of vibrations didn't get me out but I re settled myself down and relaxed once more...then a second set of vibrations happened. It stirred my excitement and this time I was out, I was over some countryside some where looking down on an old country college or school somewhere, kids were sitting outside in the grounds and spread out lounging around the place.

It looked a real sunny place with lots of trees, shrubs and flowers with a view extending back over the country side disappearing into the distance. I think it was in the US or Britain as the time was 3 am approx here and that is lunch time in the USA

I was really abuzz for making some progress as I had been going through a drought of late but now I was out. I don't know what happened from here but I sensed something or some one nearby. I thought, who is it and the next I heard ( it came not as a spoken word but a thought) "Its your spirit guide."

Well I was began to frame my next question, "What is your name" and that question was answered before I had it phrased, he said

"Its Timothy...Tim!" I was so surprised because he answered me before I had the question posed... it happened again and again after as I tried to ask subsequent questions.

One question was, about some thing I was concerned about and he had them answered again before I could even present them. One was of my immediate future and he replied,

"You haven't got a thing to worry about, relax and keep doing your best, you will be ok, all your needs will be supplied."

Well that validated it for me, I was at my full senses, totally alert and he knew exactly what the next question I was going to ask, I really felt by him doing that, that it validated it for me...I now know my spirit Guides name...I feel my future is secure and I am contented about certain things. Now its up to me to continue my worldly tasks, carry the message of hope to my fellow recovering alcoholics and be as compassionate as I possibly can towards others.

After that experience, I drifted off to sleep very excited with having felt I had gain some more ground in an area I had been striving for, for a long time.

Did you see a light?           No

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes     My spirit guide, I sensed him there, communicated with him but never saw him

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? No

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          No       Did you have any sense of altered space or time?          Yes     it's in the text I have supplied with this

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes     I sensed my spirit guide was reading my mind and answering my questions before I got them out

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             No

Did you become aware of future events?       Yes     I was told my future looked good and I had nothing to worry about, my needs would be supplied, I heard nothing on what those needs may be but they would be looked after and everything would be ok

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       No

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   No

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     I felt my experience validated to me that my spirit goes on, that I do have a spirit guide and life here is nothing to what i can expect happens when my physical body dies

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       not enough time to evaluate that yet

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     I feel a lot more joy and peace at this very moment

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     yes, with my wife and daughter...a little bewildered in what I told them

What emotions did you experience following your experience? happiness and joy...validation of spirit life

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Meeting my spirit guide
