Experience description:

It was 8:45 pm on May 13. 2009. I was taking my dogs for a walk down the block to the local churches open grass area and parking lot. Which is at the end of my street a dead end. I have been walking and playing with my dogs here for many years. The area is lit by 9 double lit poles. This night was a warm 75 degree night, there was a light fog and heavy mist. As I reached the grass area of the church I noticed the lights were all out. Which is a rare occurrence. I couldn't see the curb where the grass ended and the parking lot began. So I said to my dogs hey pups its too dark we better head home. Then I noticed the area where there is a statue of The Lady Mary was aglow. Seems the 2 spot lights that are inside the Covey that the statue stands in were lit for the first time in 6 months. I sit here often with the dogs and meditate. Been doing so for 17 years. So I said to the pups hey Mary is lit up lets go check it out.  It was about 3000 feet away. Because of the mist and fog the area around Mary was in a soft blue haze. As I stepped on the Island where Mary's statue and the benches are--------I left my body I was now outside the earth several miles up the earth was far below North America was below me and the globe looked like one from school all blue green and brown. To either side of me were people joined in hands as far as I could see off into the horizon both east and west. As the people got further from me on each side they faded into a blue mist. The sun was off to my right it was smaller than the earth. The center of the sun had 2 overlapping crescents that were white. All of sudden I walking into the sun with God. As we passed through the sun we exited into outer space and I was saying over and over I get it. I was seeing and knowing all  and I said to God I got it I see. I was experiencing feelings that I cannot duplicate in my mind now. Then I knew it was the most awe inspiring feelings one could know. It all made sense. Then boom I am back in my body with my 2 dogs. Now I say to the dogs lets go home we walk with God we are on God's team...And at that time I had this wonderful feeling of being in God's presence. By the time I walked home the feeling of euphoria was gone. I was left to figure out what the hell just happened. It has now been a year since this occurred. I have been back to this spot hundreds of times and have sat and reflected. No more experiences...no more feeling of complete oneness. Just a hole with so many questions I seek answers for. 6 months later the light pole with was at that Mary area fell down and cut the lights to Mary...that was Christmas Eve. I don't know what to figure with this. I believe in God for sure, but Jesus thing I take with a grain of salt.

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           My mental state was alert and keenly aware

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   Yes.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Wonder...Awe. Gratefulness  Peace

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           no

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?            Yes     earth and the sun  

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes     God. In the sense I was in God's presence.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No      

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes     Space was no problem at all I could just travel where I wished.

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes     I was enlightened for those 15 to 20 seconds...

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     Well now that I know there is a big picture. I would like to attain enlightenment on earth. Unfortunately I am not blessed with the gifts it would take to attain this. But knowing what I do, I wish to find what my mission is for the remained of my life.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       Today I am the person pretty much I want to be.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes     Well it has given me a purpose and somehow made me a better person.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     It is not well received. I think my wife just thinks I am off the wall. Some people have received with an open mind. But it is like a UFO story... Skeptics abound.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  Was doubtful ... confused...unsure...

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      There was no bad part...The knowledge is seeing the big picture while in outer space...was beyond description.
