Experience description:

It was 1997, summer season. I can not remember which month it was. I was a big heavy metal fan; naturally my friends and connections were from that scene. I was never satanic or pagan, which is why I know for sure what happened to me, was not a dream.

I do not consume cigar or alcohol, I drink in social events 2-3 beers in a month and in that night, I did not drink at all.

My friends wanted to meet in Marmaris, at a beautiful place with sea sight, I agreed and in the afternoon I went home, I lived in the military quarters, my father was an army officer.

I listened to music and eat a little bit and went to the military quarters cafe. I did not feel uncomfortable or weird.

At 20:00 O Clock I sat with my friends at the caf. My family was there too, but they sat at another table. All my friends left to go home and I got bored and I asked my mother the key to our home and I went home. I called my friends and I told them that I will stay at home and that I will not join them. They were upset at first but they said it was alright.

After that, I listened to music and called people, then I took a magazine and laid in my bed, the door to the balcony was open, suddenly the phone rang and I got up, my friend I call Kankardes was on the phone Let us hang around and go out. I said I do not care, let us not go. He insisted. I said to him to come to the caf and meet me there in short time. I hung up and went to my bed again, while I said to lay there, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes. Suddenly I was on the ceiling of my room. I do not know how that happened.

I tried to turn and I moved my arms and I could feel the ceiling but I was too weak to turn my body. I said no, this must be a dream, I said a prayer Besmele and nothing happened. I sensed in my brain that I shall think to turn myself. And I succeeded, while my face was looking to the ceiling, I turned to my bed and I could not believe my eyes when I saw my body in my bed. The magazine was in my lap. I tried to reach to my body but in vein, I went to the balconys door. I saw at the military caf my friends and family.

You can turn around and you can not speak at all, or make a noise. Suddenly I saw Marmariss night streets, I was with phenomenal speed on my way to the place my friends wanted me to meet, it took me only 1-2 seconds. I saw my friends and they drank. One of them was on top of a car and was singing. It felt nice. I could travel where I wanted, the wind did not overthrow me, but I felt that the wind was carrying me to the place I want to be. In an instance, I was back with the same speed and I remember to go in my room back and I went in my body back and I jumped up from my bed. I went to the bathroom and washed my hands and face. I got a call again and Emrah said Where are you, I am waiting!, I said When did you come?, he said About 10 minutes ago!, I was scared and I said this must be a nightmare

Next day, I met my friends and I did not want them to think that I was stupid, At the evening, why did you scream on top of the car?. He said You abandoned us, you were not with us!. I said to him, his name is Uygar, Were you the one who was on top of the car? He said I was. I said I was with my family on the way and I saw you!.

My friends wanted to go with another car, but they changed the idea in last minute and took a red car, and he verified the red car too.

I will never forget thisThere is the truth that spirit can sense the material, but physical power is not.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes
It was like you get light, caught by the wind. You are like a rain drop but not without feeling. You can feel objects but not like a human being. The ability to move is not with your limbs but with your thoughts.

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          Uncertain

I watched my friends from above and later when I turned back home, I remember entering my body. Everything happened very fast.

At what time during the experience were you at your highest level of consciousness and alertness?

I was all the time conscious but everything happened fast.

How did your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience compare to your normal every day consciousness and alertness?    More consciousness and alertness than normal

If your highest level of consciousness and alertness during the experience was different from your normal every day consciousness and alertness, please explain:            I was all the time conscious.

Did your vision differ in any way from your normal, everyday vision (in any aspect, such as clarity, field of vision, colors, brightness, depth perception degree of solidness/transparency of objects, etc.)?  Yes

I was approximately 60 meter above and I could hear and know the people, in normal circumstances I think it is difficult to do so.

Did your hearing differ in any way from your normal, everyday hearing (in any aspect, such as clarity, ability to recognize source of sound, pitch, loudness, etc.)?
Yes.     There was a difference, the person I was concentrating was like talking only to me, I could not hear other noises.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            I believe I did not die, is faith necessary? I think I believe that Lord let this happen. I knew I would turn back and that happened. It was an awful feeling.

Did you experience a review of past events in your life?    No

The only thing I learned is, that we will not die before we have accomplished our mission. This made me more faithful to Allah (God). There is spirit and it can feel objects, it does not forget your knowledge, I know that for sure.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          Yes     As I told, I saw the people at the caf, what they did; I saw what my friends did.

Did you see or visit any beautiful or otherwise distinctive locations, levels or dimensions?           No

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   Yes.     The weather was different, it was not cold and it was not cool but you can sense objects. When I was in the air I felt like a leaf, I could not sense the wind but I could be aware of it. It was weird, furthermore you do not breath, and there is no need for oxygen.

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?     Yes

The only thing I learned is, that we will not die before we have accomplished our mission. This made me more faithful to Allah (God). There is spirit and it can feel objects, it does not forget your knowledge, I know that for sure.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure? No

Did you become aware of future events?       No

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience you did not have prior to the experience?     Uncertain

I developed acrophobia,  I do not know why. I am not scared of death anymore. I know, when my time has come, I will be taken. Sometimes I have odd dreams, about cemeteries, and things I do not understand.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes

I told to my friend Emrah. He is not a devote believer, but he believes in a Higher Power. My experience changed him. He went now and then to Cuma prayers (Islamic Main prayer day each Fridays)

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?    No

I did not believe in NDE. I thought the soul will pass a light tunnel, it was so told in the movie Ghost. I was not interested in this theme.

How did you view the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:            Experience was definitely real

It happened and I will always believe that. The thought that there is no Allah (God) changed to the opposite, because a Power I could not see brought me back to my body.

Were there one or several parts of the experience especially meaningful or significant to you?            I experienced this alone, there was no special name to it.

How do you currently view the reality of your experience:            Experience was definitely real

It was real and will not change my mind.

Have your relationships changed specifically as a result of your experience?           Yes     The world is covered with lies and one day it will be uncovered.

Have your religious beliefs/practices changed specifically as a result of your experience?            Yes

I am bound to Laicism and Ataturk (founder of Turkish Republic) and I bound to my faith without being radical.

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience?         No

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        No.

Did the questions asked and information you provided so far accurately and comprehensively describe your experience?         Yes

The questions were appropriate.
