Experience description:

I was very ill I had inflammation around my heart and my muscles were very week, the doctor thought I had Cocsacki virus (I am not sure of that spelling)  I had been having unusual experiences, I thought I heard people in the house and someone cooking in the kitchen when no one was there. I was alone in the guest bedroom because I didn't want to disturb my husband with the restlessness that I was experiencing, I wasn't sleeping well. I felt myself slipping away when I saw a black tunnel , I thought I was going to die, when I heard a voice in my head say "the darkest hour is before the dawn"  I knew at that moment I was going to recover, obviously I didn't die and I started to feel I would get over this dark time I was going through. It took a long time but I did recover, I had to take myself out of a negative life style and get away from my husband who was being very negative with me. I was committed to hospital in a mental ward, I was there for a month and when I left I got my own apartment found a job and started to feel good. I realize now how strong I was to do all this by myself. I remembered what I was told at that dark hour I went through.

Eventually my husband and I reunited and we have been together for 50 years, he is a changed man, he isn't as abusive and we have toughed it out so far with love that we have shared together. Sometimes we fall into the ruts of those old patterns, but not for long because we both realize that the way we were is not what we are or what we want to be. Love has pulled us through, the realization that if we love ourselves we can love each other, why would we want to choose to feel anything bad when we can feel good. Life is a gift, enjoy it, chooses to be happy.
