As mentioned above - I was just drifting off to sleep when I felt I was being lifted out of my body that was at rest on the bed. 

I was then elevated up, up, up into a void until I was conscious of a bright light. I was then encapsulated in this light and a profound feeling of total love filled my every sense. 

I did not remain in that state for long and was soon falling back to my bed.

I was so filled with this love I called out - "I love you". 

My partner awoke - pleased with this announcement - but the revelation was not for him. 

The experience was something that has remained with me all these years and something I will never forget.

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            Total and encapsulating love.  That there was nothing else but this love.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           No sounds whatever

Did you see a light?           Yes    

Did you meet or see any other beings?           No      

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? No      

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No      

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          No      

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?          Yes     No time - it didn't seem important

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes            That love was all there was.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             No      

Did you become aware of future events?       No      

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       No       Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   No      

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     From that time on I delved deeper into spirituality

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I moved into Buddhism

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         No      

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     But only those of a spiritual nature

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  I left my current situation to live alone

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Just the all encompassing love.
