Experience description:

I have gallstones and I had a gallbladder attack with fever, abdominal pain, nausea. I was always sleeping because I felt so sick. I was sleeping when I had my experience. I felt like I was floating and I saw a white light around me. I saw my dead maternal grandmother,2 aunts and my cousin. I also saw my deceased father who I wanted to visit with. However, my Father told me I had to go back because it wasn't my time and that I had to take care of my mother. Then I felt something holding me back from crossing a boundary and I saw Jesus. Jesus told me it wasn't my time, I had to go back and that my mother needed me. Then Jesus told me I had work to do and I felt myself being pulled back very quickly and I came to with a jolt. That day I went to the doctor who treated me with antibiotics and special diet. The doctor was very concerned and told me to go to the hospital if I became more sick. Thank God the medicine and special diet helped and I got better.

Did you see an unearthly light?   Yes   I was surrounded by a white light.

Did you encounter or become aware of any beings who previously lived on earth, but whose earthly lives had ended prior to the time of your experience (they were deceased)?   Yes   I saw my dead grandmother, aunts and cousin. I also saw and spoke to my deceased father.

Did you encounter or become aware of any earthly beings who were alive at the time of your experience (they were not deceased)?   No      Did you seem to encounter a mystical being or presence? I saw and spoke to Jesus.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?   Yes There was a boundary that my father and Jesus kept me from crossing.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness suggesting that there is continued existence after earthly life (“life after death”)?   Yes   I saw my deceased family members.

During your experience, did you encounter any specific information / awareness that God or a supreme being really does exist?   Yes   I saw and spoke to Jesus. When I encountered Jesus I felt joy and peace.

Yes   I came to understand the Catholic belief of the communion of saints which means that we are all connected beyond death with those alive and deceased

Did you have a sense of knowing special knowledge or purpose?   Yes   Jesus told me during my experience that I have work to do. Therefore I feel that I must help and do good to others.

Uncertain   Sometimes When I'm asleep I have dreams that are prophetic. Among one of these dreams that I had I dream of the death of a family member a few weeks before they actually get sick and die.

Have you ever shared this experience with others?   Yes I told my mother right away. Soon afterwards I told my cousin and when me and my husband started to date I told him.

Did you have any knowledge of near death experience (NDE) prior to your experience?   Yes   I had seen a movie when I was 15 about near death experiences.

What did you believe about the reality of your experience shortly (days to weeks) after it happened:   Experience was definitely real   I am a religious person so I felt this was a experience of faith.

What do you believe about the reality of your experience at the current time:   Experience was definitely real   As I explained I am a religious person so this experience has deepened my faith.
