Experience description:

I was nine years old. It was 1986 in Magna, Utah. I was a latchkey kid, just doing normal latchkey kid things.

All of a sudden, my grandma, who had passed away five years earlier, came into my thoughts and told me to call Grandpa. I remember thinking to myself how weird that was because I never called Grandpa.

We spent as much time with Grandpa in Salt Lake as we did at our home in Magna. Mom was a single mother with two active children, and Grandpa was our support system and our soft spot to land.

I decided to call my mom. She was an engineer for Litton Guidance Systems, and we knew not to call her at work unless it was an emergency. I reached her and asked for Grandpa's phone number. She gave it to me, and I called Grandpa.

A man who was not my grandpa answered the phone. I asked for Grandpa, and the man explained that he was busy and unable to come to the phone. I thought that was strange, so I called Mom back and told her what had happened. She then called Grandpa's number herself.

The next thing I remember, Mom was pulling into the driveway. She jumped out of the car, bawling and screaming that Grandpa had killed himself.

Following the experience, have you had any other events in your life, medications or substances which reproduced any part of the experience? Yes I dreamt the passing of my Mom roughly a couple of months before it happened.
