In 1993 I worked in my
art studio on the 2nd floor of our house. My son, who was just 1 year old stayed
upstairs with me while I worked. I had a baby gate over the entrance to the top
of the stairs to protect him from falling. One day I had to mail a stack of
original designs to a company I worked for. I grabbed the cardboard roll in one
arm and baby Luke in the other and headed toward the stairs and unlatched the
gate. Darn...I'd left the car keys back on my art board... so I walked back into
the studio, set the squirming Luke down and looked around for them. To my horror
I heard the squeaky baby gate....Luke had toddled to the top of the stairs! I
ran out of the art room and looked over the balcony as Luke began falling head
over heels down the stairs. I remember screaming....then the next thing I
remember I am at the bottom of the stairs...I catch Luke out of mid-air at the
bottom of the stairs...I have no idea how. I hold him close & sit on the bottom
stair and cry, my whole body is drained of energy and it feels like I am moving
in thick air, or heavy gravity...I am shaking out of control. I have replayed
this thousands of times in my mind, there is no way I could have moved fast
enough to run all the way down the hall to the top of the stairs & then get out
in front of Luke in time to catch him. I was simply transported, somehow, out in
front of him in time to catch him. Is there a name for this, besides miracle?

there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?
is not the 1st time I've been helped supernaturally. Once before I was pregnant
my husband & I were "saved" in a blinding "white out" snowstorm by a being who
could have been an angel. He appeared, wordlessly directed us to safety, and
then disappeared. Even before our kids were born I felt they were my purpose
here on this planet. Luke, the baby who was saved, is a senior in High School,
and doing remarkable things that many grown people don't do in a whole lifetime.
