From nowhere, a young girl with plaited hair and a long nightdress (Victorian looking) appeared and was smelling of the lily of the valley. I could tell she was friendly.  She held out her hand, which l took.  l was approximately 8 to 10 feet off the ground and looking down. l could see myself motionless. I saw only the relatives l had known, but I could feel the presence of all my relatives who were almost blurred images. A trusted friend said, 'It's alright, don't be afraid.' The relatives then surrounded me as though protecting me.

Then two black images (a black light that you couldn't look at without hurting your eyes. A bright black) you could sense these figure were not friendly.  They were guardians of the person who was a frail, almost cowering, person who seemed to be ordered not to look at me. Then l was asked again, 'It's your last chance?' My reply was, 'l don't understand what you mean.' The person between the two black figures was my dad. Throughout my childhood, he was not the best or nicest of people.  l helped him through his terminal illness.  Once he passed away in 1995, l just got on with my life with no reason to dwell on him.

After my reply, my dad did try to call to me but the two figures closed together. My granddad roared as if to order him to silence. My good friend then said, 'It's all ok.  Don't worry.' I then found myself walking away from my job location towards the canteen for the 10 a.m. break, but as l walked l could feel the presence of my good friend and knew my relatives were beside me. Then the presence just went.

The whole instance took almost two hours. But its occurrence had no meaning or reason for doing so. Nor do l have any answers to the question what was meant by 'It's your last chance.' After describing the event to my mum, she took out a photo one l had never seen before. The young girl was my great Aunt..
