I was never afraid but was 'amazed' at what was going on at the time of the event. Once the items were gotten and paid for I remember again, reluctantly, having to enter my body and then we walked out of the store. As soon as I was out of the store - it was all over. I returned to the lake home and stayed until Sunday evening -then returned home. I have never had any experience like this before that event or after. I was stunned for days/weeks after it occurred but told no one for many, many years. It was just so odd to me. I was not sick at all - very healthy - and too young to even be thinking about such occurrences. As you see, the memory of this was etched into my mind - it's as fresh today in my mind as it was right after it happened. I could never forget this experience. It did make me feel there was life after death - you really could 'leave your physical body'.

Was the kind of experience difficult to express in words? Yes     It was so weird - sounds crazy (dumbfounded about experience)

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           Fully conscious and completely alert

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   Not at all

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes     I could see my physical body below me: I was a thinking 'form' hovering right under the ceiling (I don't know what I looked like)- in awe while all this was going on and amazed that I knew where everything was in the store - had to return to my physical body in order to talk (I don't remember me actually moving much below and can't remember if I moved at all while out of body). I do remember moving when returning to my body. I could see the entire store from the ceiling and all the people there.

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Saw people in store below - was seeing the top of their heads and then their bodies - could see all of the store from the ceiling.

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? No

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          No            Whatever happened was 'in the store' - it was gone as soon as I stepped out of the store

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    No      

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             Yes     The store walls and ceiling were my boundary

Did you become aware of future events?       No      

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Yes     I had to consciously, deliberately and I remember reluctantly re-enter my body to talk, leave store, etc. (The amazement of the event made me want to stay hovering under the ceiling).

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         No      

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     I knew you could leave your physical body

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       Has not really affected my life to my knowledge. I am very spiritual and feel it is stronger due to 'knowing you can leave this physical body'.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         No      

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes     Have shared this 'event' with family and close friends as I have gotten older. I don't think this has influenced anyone - person(s) are just quiet and seem puzzled when I disclose this event.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      The best part 'was the event' - the worst has been not knowing why/how it happened all these years?
