For about a week I had been meditating and trying to find out my "angels" name, which seems silly but someone told me you could do this so I thought I'd try. Saturday night I woke up feeling like someone was trying to pull my head off although nobody was there. The next night I was pulled from a sound sleep into what I can describe as another dimension. It seemed we were in a small room and instantly a fighting spirit came at me and started pummeling me to a point that I had no time to think or act. I could only fight back. My fists went right through him. I caught glimpses of my arms and legs. They were like, I think gold light beams or something. I caught glimpses of him too. He was very golden and sparkly and I think I remember a muscular build. I could not see his face but I really didn't want to. I was afraid if I saw too much I could not go back to my body, which I knew I had left somehow.

I sensed my own bed behind me and when I looked I could see it and my 8 year old daughter sleeping there but when I looked where "I" would be sleeping it was too blurry and dark to see. I screamed for her to help me (imagine that) and after awhile she sleepily reached over and took my hand. I started to pray very hard and loud. The Our Father, and the Hail Mary. Nothing seemed to work. I finally screamed for him to go back to God thinking he was a lost spirit or something. Another being came up to me at that point and looked at me (although he didn't have a face) and seemed to say "What are you doing??!!" As if what I had asked was utterly ridiculous. Which in my opinion should have been my question. They finally "let go" and I found myself back in my body.

I looked at my daughter and she looked as if she hadn't moved an inch. A friend of mine suggested that maybe it had been her subconscious or spirit that had taken my hand. I thought this made sense and was very nice of my baby. Anyway, there was also a sensual element to this experience. When his spirit mingled with mine, it was a very pleasurable feeling and warm like I could stay there forever. The next morning I felt a sexual power and knew it would not be wise to look into a man's eyes for fear he would recognize something, although I'm not quite sure what. I was kind of afraid after that. The experience although providing me with other worldly wonder, frightened the hell out of me and of course I stopped the meditating and trying to "contact" things out there.

The spirit guy that looked golden and sparkly and muscular. And the other guy that looked like Gumby without a face but a kind of mustard yellow. I don't know why he looked like that. He seemed to be the muscle guys guard or seer or something.

Did you see a light?           Yes, there was a glow in the room as if from a lamp.

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes

just the 2 guys I told you about. Although the Gumby guy came I think at a time when I was going back to my body so he may have been formed from a dream, but the muscle guy was definitely not a dream.

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Yes

I felt warmth from somewhere. Comfortable warmth. I also felt sensual pleasure.

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       Yes

I'm assuming my yelling a fighting resulted in them letting me go back to my body.

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?         Yes

the sexual power I felt earlier for about 3 hours the next morning. I was at work so I kept it to myself the best that I could. I did see a "knowing" look on a young man's face who I avoided looking at. I don't know where that came from because I didn't look at him. And I don't know what it meant either.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes

Well I was pretty certain there was a spirit world.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I drive people crazy with this topic including my own daughter who is 12 now. It's all I can think about. This has been the strongest and most vivid experience, but, I've had other "out of body" experiences. None like that. In others, parts of my body would float out of my physical body. Once, my feet floated all the way up to the ceiling and I was just hanging there upside down. This happened when I woke up from sleep before I completely came to physically. Mentally I would be completely alert during these strange episodes.

Has your life changed specifically as a result of your experience?         Yes

It's difficult not to think of anything else. I'm trying to find answers. I've taken up meditation but only on a spiritual directly to God level. I don't want to contact anything else. It is for spiritual enlightenment and joy only.

Have you shared this experience with others?         Yes

Most of the look at me patiently but don't know what to say. A friend, the one who suggested my daughters spirit came to me, is supportive.

What emotions did you experience following your experience?  Fear, helplessness. Not knowing where to turn to get help from "a spirit". How do you tell the police a spirit is after you? I thought of going to my priests house in the middle of the night but I knew he would have thought I was nuts.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      Knowing there is life after death and the beautiful, warm, sensual feeling I felt was the best. The worst was the not knowing what was going to happen to me and the guy beating me up. (Although it didn't hurt)

Is there anything else you would like to add concerning the experience?        This was not induced by drugs or medication and it definitely was not a dream. I was completely out. From the top of my head down to the tip of my toes. I felt every part of me. I also felt like I was not "grounded". I was floating in mid air. What a strange feeling.
