Upon making that decision, I felt a strong vibration begin all over my body and after what seemed like seconds, I heard a sound like a loud electrical current being pulled apart. Then, nothing. I lay still wondering if I had made it and tried to decide if I should try to project myself standing beside my bed or in my living room then, just decided to get up. (I have read that if I get up from the bed I would be able to know if I were out of body) I sat up and could feel like my limbs were very heavy, almost leaden. I walked toward my bedroom door and made it to the hallway. I really did not feel different but, I decided to leap into the air as a kind of test. It worked! I floated. The feelings at this time were elation and overwhelming joy. I floated just above ground level throughout my living room. The room was well lit, almost like daylight and I could see the outside yard; also lit up, through the window although the blinds were closed.

I turned and saw a man, dressed in white, carrying a beautiful little 2 or 3 year old girl. He stopped and talked to the child and I tried to talk to him but, he seemed not to hear me. Then, a young boy, aged about 15, with red hair, came and stood before me, he was crying and speaking about someone he had hurt in life. He could see and hear me as I questioned him. Two small children, dressed in bed clothes came into the room next, they were complaining of not feeling well and I knew, without knowing how I knew, that they were home, in bed physically, and medicated. I do not know how I knew this information, but, I did. I also questioned why these spirits were in my home but, again a type of knowing came to me that I was actually in their space, they were not in mine. Suddenly, I was back in my bed and wide awake, as if I had never been asleep. I was not drowsy, or sleepy but, very alert with full recognition of everything that had transpired.

At the time of this experience, was there an associated life threatening event?          No      

What was your level of consciousness and alertness during the experience?           very alert, very aware.

            Was the experience dream like in any way?   only the floating but, I was very aware of floating and actively trying to do so.

Did you experience a separation of your consciousness from your body?     Yes    

What emotions did you feel during the experience?            elation, joy, feelings of freedom.

Did you hear any unusual sounds or noises?           yes, upon leaving my body I heard a sound like very charged electrical current

LOCATION DESCRIPTION:  Did you recognize any familiar locations or any locations from familiar religious teachings or encounter any locations inhabited by incredible or amazing creatures?            Yes    

Did you see a light?           No      

Did you meet or see any other beings?           Yes     The children I described earlier and communication seemed to be telepathic

Did you experiment while out of the body or in another, altered state? Yes    

I attempted to float and was able to but, was only able to float just above ground level. I did consider going to other places but decided to stay just in my familiar surroundings.

Did you observe or hear anything regarding people or events during your experience that could be verified later?          No      

Did you notice how your 5 senses were working, and if so, how were they different?          Yes     I could see in the dark as if it were day.

Did you have any sense of altered space or time?   No      

Did you have a sense of knowing, special knowledge, universal order and/or purpose?    Yes     I knew things about the others that I met and I knew I was not dreaming.

Did you reach a boundary or limiting physical structure?             Uncertain      I felt I could go to other locations but, chose to stay close to my body

Did you become aware of future events?       No      

Were you involved in or aware of a decision regarding your return to the body?       No      

Did you have any psychic, paranormal or other special gifts following the experience that you did not have prior to the experience?   Yes     I am aware of a lingering presence. As if someone is standing next to me.

Did you have any changes of attitudes or beliefs following the experience?   Yes     I was some what skeptical concerning the ability to will oneself out of the body or astral travel but, now I know and believe that this is possible.

How has the experience affected your relationships? Daily life? Religious practices? Career choices?       I feel more loving toward others. It is as if I realize that we all are spiritual beings and need to help one another.

What was the best and worst part of your experience?      the best was the knowledge that I had been able to accomplish it and that I had very real clarity of the experience and the worst is that it ended so soon.
