Experience description:

First time I've recognized this "feature" (if you wish) of mine in a commuter train, when I was about 18-20 years old, don't remember exactly when.  I often took a commuter train then.

Once I was on the train and was sitting on the bench; it's easy to get sleepy on a train and then I fell asleep.

I slept for some time, and then I woke up, but could not move; my eyes were open just a bit (this I remember for sure, because I could see the floor and my legs); this continued for 3 or five minutes, then I was able to move.

Actually this has been happening to me periodically about once every year or once every two or three years, during all my life.

First I was afraid, but then I started feeling more confident (maybe just get used to it). When I was 40 (i.e. recently) I experienced it twice!

Now let me describe everything carefully from beginning to end!!!

I sleep..., then I wake up, most often suddenly, but sometimes wake up regularly, I see everything with my eyes, therefore I conclude that I have them open or I see everything some other way, but I cannot explain how, BUT I SEE EVERYTHING!!!

But I see in the direction I'm facing.

I want to move my hand, i.e. I'm lifting my hand, but I see that it stays where it was; I try to move the hand again and I see now that it moves (I see for sure that it is raising) and then suddenly it is where it was initially. Lake frames in a movie: click, and everything returned back to the first frame.

In such situations I don't feel my body; my consciousness is somewhere near to my eyes.

Naturally, I start worrying; first thoughts like "Am I dead?" come to me and then I start struggling, i.e. trying to use my will to make my body act. And after about third or sixth try (usually) everything starts obeying my will, i.e. my body "comes alive", if you can say that. It usually happens like this: from the head (brain) a soft tingling energy wave (I'm trying to find a proper description) goes down through my body , like a spring breeze.

I have been thinking about it, and it seems to me that it is either some energy (soul) transcends from another world or just an important part of the brain, responsible for motion, starts functioning.

But one thing I understood for sure: it looks like something is late to return (plug back in) to my body. Consciousness (ME) from other world suddenly comes faster then everything else, and for some time IT stays by itself.

One thing I understood for sure, I exist independently of my body; a spark, a little dot, my consciousness, my SELF.
